Issues with login

I'm running on Vista 64-bit, on a university campus. I had quite a long break from CoH, but now i've come back i've been having some weirdness with logging in. Sometimes I can log in flawlessly first time, but other times my screen will freeze for about 30 seconds before giving me a 'error: unable to login. Check your firewall and server status' message. Once i'm connected however, CoH works normally again, loading up characters and running levels as per normal. I thought it might be the university locking off some ports, but that wouldn't make sense seeing as I can connect sometimes and not others. Is this a known issue or something that can be resolved? I can keep trying and sometimes it'll eventually log me in, but it's a real pain.

I've suffered this error randomly too, unknown as to why as i'm on a home setup rather than a uni network. Usually restarting the client or ctrl-alt-del the coh process and starting again solves this for me

Incog = Ask some of the techie/IT guys at the Uni if they put the uni firewall on and off at times. If they do, then that is the problem.

Dust = Checked your firewall? Could be it. Unlikely though.
