Game Crashes and Graphical Errors!

Hey everyone,

I'm having a bit of a problem in that whenever I start playing the game I get a lot of graphical issues, firstly, floors and walls sometimes dissappearing, which at times is great if I'm about to go up a flight of stairs and suddenly see all the mobs waiting for me. Sometimes the cursor changes and just turns into what can only be described as static, I know this is a bad sign, because one of two things happen next.

1) If I go into an instanced mission everything will be pitch black, I won't be able to see where the walls are or where I'm going at all.

2) Critical error, game crashes.

Another thing that happens is the mobs flash different colours, freaks will alternate, rapidly, between wearing green trousers and then purple trousers, which at first provided some amusement.

Also, just at times I'll randomly crash, most of the time it means reverifying all my files, but once or twice it's refused to even load up and I've had to reinstall it.

I'm using a 256mb Radeon ATI x1300, have 2gb of RAM and using Windows Vista Home Basic.

I've tried changing various settings with in the game but all these problems keep persisting. Any ideas?

I've no idea what's going on, on the whole (a dxdiag posted into here may help), but I'd recommend tweaking the drivers, especially on an ATI x1300 (i run the same card on my Macbook Pro)

Omega Drivers (the latest), with the ATI tweaktool, can solve a lot of graphical issues on ATI cards.

I say *can*, as i'm looking at the 256mb RAM video card, and am hoping you've got the texture files set on the minimum, I run the same card, and I struggle to have many settings on the max (I can't handle particle physics that well)

but I digress, this could very well be a Vista issue, so I'll leave it to those who are familiar with tackling it

I'll have a look for the cursor thread and see if that fixes my problem.

I've got the omega drivers but was is this tweak tool you speak of? Where can I acquire this?
