Super Group Listings Thread Proposal

Message to all Defiant Supergroups.

Proposal...

I'd like to create a thread that we can sticky on "Defiant - Heroes".

It will be a list of links to all supergroups within Defiant.

So if you'd like to advertise your SG, do the following steps:

1. Create a thread named.... SG Spot: [SG NAME HERE]
2. Use the Post Icon: Ribbon to identify the post also.
3. Information on the thread will be in the format as the Super Group Spotlight
Therefore will have the following fields:

Supergroup Spotlight Submissions

Please answer all questions and include all the requested information in your submissions. Go into as much (or as little) detail as you like.

Notes about some questions are included in italics – please remember that these are only suggestions, not requirements.
[LIST=1][*]What is the name of your Supergroup?
[*]What is your Supergroup’s Motto?
[*]What are your Supergroup’s emblem and colours?
You can either describe them, or include screenshots to show them.
[*]If your Supergroup has a website and/or message boards, what’s the URL?
[*]Please list the character names of your Supergroup’s leaders and/or founders.
You can also include details of your current membership if you like.
[*]How did your Supergroup get started?
As with most of the following questions, we’ve left this as open as possible. You could supply a full history of your SG or a simple story of how you and a few people met on a mission and decided you got on well enough to form an SG.
[*]What is the overall goal or aim of your Supergroup?
This could be a single line ‘mission statement’, a fully developed in-game reason for your SG’s existence, complete with backstory, or as simple as ‘to have fun playing the game with friends’.
[*]What does your Supergroup do?
This is probably the most open question of the lot, and is your chance to tell us and your fellow players whatever you want about your Supergroup and how it functions. Do you run regular ‘Task Force nights’ for members? How is your Supergroup organised, and what is expected of members? Do you arrange in-game or out-of-game events? Anything and everything your SG does can be mentioned here.
[*]What is your Supergroup’s finest moment or greatest achievement so far?
This could be the time you all got together for a night out in real life, the time you organised a Hami raid, the best mission you ran in a Supergroup team or anything else that sticks in your mind or has become ‘legendary’ among your SG members.
[*]If your Supergroup has a base, please tell us about it.
Again, this could be the in-character story of how your SG found an abandoned office building and slowly developed it into a fully-functional, top of the line headquarters, a description of your existing base and/or your plans for the future, or anything else about your base that you’d like to tell your fellow players about.
[*]Tell us about your coalitions
who is your SG coalitioned with. How you came to be coalitioned or the history with other SGs perhaps.
[*]What are your Supergroup’s plans for the future?
Another open question, which you can answer in any way you want, whether in-character or as a player.
[*]If your Supergroup is open to new recruits, please provide details of how a player can go about applying for membership.
Please include details of emails, URLs, Global Chat handles and the like, as necessary.

Once that is made and posted on "Defiant - Heroes", I will then go about linking it to the Super Group Listings thread.


I am to post a thread for the SG i'm in, The Guild of Extreme Heroes which you can use as an example.

Hmmmm. Just found this. I shall post a thread for my SG, 47 Ties.

Also crossposting to SG forums, will try and keep up to date and post once the sticky is up and running

Wahey! Finally got a reply!

Glad to hear you're gonna post something for the 47Ties.

In all honesty I didn't expect quick responses to this. There are a number of SGs (well from our coalition list), who've stated an interest and are currently working on it.

I know some of you have already got a SG Spotlight on the main eu.cityofheroes page. Probably a bit dated, but don't mind you guys using them again.

If you're a member of an SG and interested in getting your SG advertised on here, give your SG leader a prod and let them know about this. Would be great to have a large list of SGs from PvE, PvP, RP or all of the above!

As stated, you could either give the origins of the SG a storybook style feel or keep it factual. I went for a storybook style with actual events during GoEH's growth...but the choice is ultimately yours.
