Most of the enforcers attacks do -def but it seems that the tier 1 thugs don't as listed here.
You should probably /bug that Boerewors if you haven't already

Badging character: Bimble on the Union server, Badgehunter.com and City Info Tracker.
After much testing: the Tier 1 thugs pets DO NOT do any -def attacks, despite the fact that the power is listed as taking -def IO sets.
The Tier 2 pets definitely do -def so slotting Achilles heel and Lady Grey in this summon power is very advantageous.
