Staminaless Electric Armour?

In a desperate attempt to break the mold for having stamina I find myself looking at my Electric/Electric brute for inspiration.
Anyone tried/has thoughts on the Validity of Using Conserve Power, Power Sink and Power Surge as a combo for end management and dropping stamina?
Figured it wouldn't be so bad since I'd already have two of those powers anyway and by adding in conserve and tough to replace the fitness pool it should make me considerably tougher, assuming my blue bar doesn't croak and die every 20 seconds...

Edit: This is without a unique +recovery IO, no way can I afford one and until I get lucky and one drops I figure I'm going without.

Interesting idea, I've had a play with a hero builder and compared some of the endurance numbers with my dark dark brute. Cutting a long story short, if you slot for loads of +recovery you can hit +24% reasonably easily (no uniques required) which is half of stamina's effect. Comparing the end/sec values of the two builds, the staminaless elec/elec has about 1 end/sec left over after toggles, my slotted up stamina'd brute has about 1.4 end/sec.

Now, I manage to run high difficulty missions without any real end issues, using dark consumption only occasionally. Power Sink is available roughly 3 times as often as DC, plus you'll have Conserve Power *and* Power Surge as well, add in the small end returns you sometimes get off elec melee, and I'd say you'll be fine going staminaless

Mind you, could be a rather painful experience until levels 28/35.....

p.s. oh yeah, both brute builds (and the numbers above) include all armour toggles along with tough and the relevent set's damage aura.

They are painful to level up staminaless but once you can obtain conserve an powersink and slot them well, possibly adding haste for rechg it should be fine. You may wish to be a bit AoE to do great damage per end to group rather than single target which is the difference between PVE and PVP builds imo and you may wish to have an end slot here and there in some attacks to make up for whatever attack chains you like.

I have created a new Super Strenght /Elec Armor brute and I am planning her stamina-less from level 36 and above.

My plan is to take the powers I like up to 18 and then respec (veteran) at lvl 20 to get Hurdle+Health+Stamina all at once (so, loosing two "fun" powers in the process).

Then, at level 36 (once Power Sink can be slotted), I plan to respec again (Trial respec) to loose Hurdle+Health+Stamina and get some fun powers (Hand Clap, Hurl...)

In my Warshade experience, you can have a stamina-less build if you have a good and fast Endurance recover power (like Stygian circle for warshades) but not a slow Endurance recover power (like Consume for Fire tankers).

Do not think that Conserve power will save you many endurance problems, since it recharges waaaaay too slowly to be up often. Even with three recharges and lightning reflexes and hasten and +recharge IO bonuses Conserve power won't be up as often as you would like. I finally respeced out of it in my Energy/energy blaster...

With three recharges and only one enemy, Power sink can give you 25 endurance every 30 seconds, though it costs 13 endurance to activate. So, it can give you 25+25-13-13 = 24 endurance/minute.

With three recharges and three endurance modifications: 48 endurance/minute... when stamina three slotted gives you about 50 endurance/minute (half of natural recovery).

Remember that those calculations considered only one enemy (e.g. AV fight). Usually, as a Brute, you'll be sorrounded by three enemies at least.

Also, do not consider only the small +recovery from some IO bonus. If you slot complete or nearly complete sets in your attacks (4/5 IOs from same set) to get the more appealing +recharge and +accuracy, it is most probable that you are slotting some meaningful Endurance Reduction in your attacks. And remember that attacks are the most endurance/consuming over time powers you have. Endurance reduction in attacks almost always saves you more endurance/minute than in your toggles.

Try a DM/Elec brute, they have the most endurance saving powers.

Main Hero: Mazey - level 50 + 1 fire/fire/fire blaster.
Main Villain: Chained Bot - level 50 + 1 Robot/FF Mastermind.
