Swords clashed on the roof top of one of the many buildings of Talos. This one building was home to Catz, and today was another of those lengthy days she spent training up her new sidekick, Liberty Wing. “Come on Amy; Hit me with that damn sword!” Catz lunged forward managing to scrape a hit across Amy’s right arm.

“Ashlee, Stop moving” Amy teetered close to the edge of the building, holding her katana up high. Catz laughed and jumped behind her kicking her back onto the building. “Ok fine, I think we’ve had enough combat training” Catz stepped close to the edge and looked over, Amy was standing close behind her “Did Jake call this morning, he said he would. He was over in the crash site and I’m getting a little worried.” Catz looked over her shoulder and smiled at Amy “He’ll be fine, trust me”.

The police band in Catz back pocket started buzzing wildly as she pulled it out, opening it to reveal a map with several red dots flashing all over Paragon “What is this, Mass Armageddon?” She laughed and started pinpointing places.

“Uh...Ashlee…” Amy stepped back; the look of fear was all over her face. Catz turned and over head the sky was no longer blue, it had turned a strange green colour and the whole of Talos Island was consumed by a massive shadow belonging to a huge airship. “No…God No, not this again” Catz held her breath and grabbed Amy by the arm “Get that Griffin of yours and go now!” Amy quickly nodded and ran back into the flat block.
Catz looked up as the huge airship hovered overhead; Paragon City had never been so quiet. The humming of its engines where the only thing you could hear as Civilians on the streets below stood still to watch it, unaware of the chaos about to unfold.

The silence was broken. Screams echoed in the streets as thousands of portals opened up on the streets below and Rikti swarmed out of them, brandishing all sorts of weaponry. Catz clutched two fists at her side as rock slowly climbed up her body, and in a gruff tone she muttered “It ends here, they can’t attack Paragon like this. Not without having to take on me”. In one leap Catz dove down several blocks of flats and in a shudder of earth hit the floor. The Rikti brandished their guns as the dust rose.

“Looking for me?” Catz sprinted towards them all as they opened fire, gun shots bouncing off her armour ricocheting into nearby buildings. Although when she had thought them before hand their weaponry didn’t affect the granite armour, but this time…It did. Holes appeared quickly as shots bounced off the armour, shards of it hitting the floor. Before Catz knew it the whole of the armour was just dust on the floor. “Not good. So not good” She looked back down from the sky as one shot bounced off her chest sending her flying across the street, it was so unusual since that one bullet packed as much power as a Ballista.

Catz groaned and clutched her arm around her chest, a large black figure made his way through the rubble and placed a foot on top of the badly beaten hero. Catz stared up at him with bleary eyes as the sky turned a deep green, he pressed his foot down harder and aimed his gun, the last thing he muttered was in English "Poor Hero...Curiosity Killed the Cat you know".

In a flick of the wrist and a blast of fire the Rikti leader in black was sent hurtling back towards the portals. Without showing any pain or discomfort Catz raised to her feet. A sadistic smile stretched across her face, but in an instant changed back to fear “Wu—what’s happening to me.” She stared at her hands as flames slowly creeped up then and her costume started to change. All the cuts and bruises she received from hits taken earlier healed up in an Instant. “No. No not now! Blazeix don’t. You can’t!” Even though the screams of the civilians rang through the streets nothing could quite beat the sheer loudness of Catz’s own scream.

The Rikti leader pulled himself to his feet and beckoned his troops to heighten their guns as instead of Catz stood before them was a someone very similar to Catz except the costume and hair colour resembled that of her own arch-nemesis. Blazeix. “Well well boys. Doing my job for me are you trying to kill off the little hero? I’m sorry but she’s my gateway to this city” They all back off and laughed a little.
“Look I’m sorry lady we honestly didn’t mean to…” Catz grinned and took a step forward “You think you’ll win this war? Well keep thinking guys, because you’re going to win it for me” A maniacal laugh rang out and then stopped suddenly as Catz crippled up and fell to her knees “No…you can’t win, you can’t. I’m not going to let you take over…me again!” she grabbed her head and writhed on the floor. The Rikti began raises their guns, her defenses were down and this would be the easiest time to get rid of a hero.

“Fire!” Those words bounced off the walls of the buildings and out of nowhere arrows came flying followed by several heroes. Heading on the attack was the well known Intrepid Tomorrow Man, followed by his team mates, Aegis Angel, Blastor, Zoser and Megumi. Although Zoser was the mysterious one of the group he rushed over the Catz and lifted her to her feet.
“Come on Ashlee. We need to get you back to the base; I think all of us know what’s happening”
He waved his hands to the others who were tearing Rikti from their armour; they retreated with Catz all at once, leaving a heap of armour in the road way.

Day 2
Catz sat alone in the SG ward, her right arm in a cast from the day before and cuts were clearly visible on my areas of her body. She sighed and wobbled as she stood on her feet “Why does it have to be now… Not with all these problems, She’s gonna get to me.”
Catz had been asleep for most of the second day because of the injuries on the strain on her mind. But now she assumed it was time Paragon City needed her, and that it was because a voice shouted from the radio “The Rikti are launching an attack on Galaxy City” She turned her head to the base teleporters and tore the cast off her arm and grabbing her cape from the hanger behind her.

Galaxy City had never been so hectic, people ran down the streets maneuvering their way between heroes taking out the bombs placed in the street by the Rikti. Catz stood and looked across to the Galaxy Girl statue, “Let’s hope the others have stood by their word” In a quick sprint Catz headed towards Galaxy Girl where several heroes were already taking down large forces of Rikti teleporting in. “Watch yourself Catz!” Bullets shot over Catz’s head as she ducked and out of a crowd of Rikti appeared Red Commissar brandishing his gun, “Good to zee you’re alright” Catz gave him a quick nod and in the space of a few seconds she was already in Granite armour and in the middle of a hoard of Rikti, not one of them seemed to stand a chance but one had the right idea in taking her out from the back. “No-one hurts my big sis!” Catz spun on her heels to see a hero half her size yanking a sword out of the back of a Rikti Headman. She laughed and lifted the little hero off her feet squeezing her tightly “Viessa! Glad to see you’re alright” She placed her on her feet as a concerned look brushed over her face “What happened to you yesterday, I saw a little clip on the news.”

Catz paused and stuttered “I uh...I uh can’t explain.” Stones fell to the floor as she returned to her none armoured state. She grabbed her head a ringing noise rang through it “Don’t lie. You can explain Ashlee can’t you” It was happening again and this time it was getting worse. Everything went silent in Catz’s eyes as she fell to her knees, her heartbeat and breathing was the only thing she could hear as several members of Vanguard flooded the area, Viessa called one over in Catz’s direction he knelt by her side and that’s when the light faded and everything went black.
