Need help with concept

Well hello all you out there in RP land! I need your help

I have two ideas for an avian character.(well a few more than two but my main problem is my secondary)

I am going for a more Archangel/Icarus/ DCAU Hawkman type alt, instead of say a magical bird/human hybrid with magical powers.

My two ideas are based more one Angel (marvel) and Icarus (Mavel) but his backstory is based on Hawkman.

First Idea (Icarus Based): Human-Avian Hybrid from an alternate dimesion where "humans" there evolved from birds and possess advance technology, discovered by Paragons Portal Corps, where a scienctist and An Avian Warrior had a child. Possesses Advance armor from Fathers Heritage. As a result of the Avians super soilder programs, he possesses a Regenative enyzme in his blood, Super Avilan Reflexes, while the Armor provides protection and enhances regenative proterties.

Claws(talons)/Regen/Fighting/Flight
(Tought representing Armor, Weave Representing Reflexes)

Second, Back stroy is similar, except his father was not engineered, he has from the order of the Falcon, and possesses great agility both flighing and on the ground. Mixed heritage furthered Reflexes to super human speeds. Armor is made to enchance Agility and combat effectiveness aswell as high frenquency talons. The Avilan race is only a few decades more advance than us, and even tho they possess powerful ranged weapons are very honor bound race where warriors still prefer to train in melee weapons.

Talons(or Sword)/SR/Fitness/Flight

For this I thought of a crossover idea that (health and IO set enspired) like birds he possesses a high metabolic rate, but his DNA has adapted its Relication process so that damage doesn't not occur, therefore he heals (slightly)faster, over the years of his people having their wings cut off, they genetically designed the wing cells to regenerate (so if storywise I "lose" my wings I can grow them back)

Pros and Cons that I can see for both:

Regen, Regen doesn't really suit a avian IMO (con), Adds interesting twist such as unable to get sick because niether human or bird vriuses can affect him(pro) No need for fitness (pro) Tough and Weave not what their are cracked up to be (con) Regen helps explain what happens if shot in his wings (pro)

SR: Perception goes well with idea of super human senses, falcon like vision (pro) Agility is somewhat compromised by 20 foot wingspan which hurts concept(con) helps idea of very agile flyer (pro) Dimishes Armor Idea (con)

I don't want to take invulnerablity twice, and dark doesn't really fit the concept. I don't need answers like "which ever is more fun, because I find both very fun, but its the concept thats killing me. The history of the character is important to other character plots.

So i ask you fellow rpers, what Feels more Avian to you?

Birds generally have a far faster metabolism than normal humans. This could be reflected in more rapid healing.

However, the same rapid metabolism concept could be used to justify an SR build and I think that fits the concept better.

It's just that it's quite possible to justify /regen with a bird-based origin story.

Thanks thats what I thought as well, I know birds do general heal faster than humans, (well alot of animals do.. but), however I do believe that a birds (especially a falcons) base reflex time is significantly higher than a humans as well. Health from the pool powers could be my "higher metabolism".

I do know it is eay to jusifty regen, I was just wondering, which would more likely be if a avian hybrid exist/ based on comic book characters with wings.

1) Higher reflexes with mild/moderate healing

1)Higher Regening with moderate reflexes

I'd say 1)
