Welcome to the game, which server did you have in mind?
RP supergroups are propably rare and your hope is to find out them by asking in the RP forum maybe. PVP supergroups, well I know only one on defiant and dunno whats their policy on beginners.. 
. Im sure you'd be welcome to Goonies if we can get a spot open as we have been pretty full lately.. I PVP myself a fair bit, but goonies is just a SG of casual people having fun. We're anxiously waiting on Issue 8 and the supergroup size change so we could merge our various alt supergroups..
im on a UNION server. Well, I actually bought the game for the main purpose of PvP hehe so a PvP SG would be nice 
but for now im currently just looking for friends and happy gaming

Well we're not as yet an active PvP group, although I do plan long term to have some PvP events and friendly base raids (with some of the SG groups I'm friendly with) and one of the members has already made his interest in PvP clear, but I would like to think we're a friendly lot so the offer's there if you want a place. Been recruiting quite a few people since Saturday so there are a few other players in the group who're completely new to the game so you hopefully won't feel out of place.
Hold out to see if any of the other groups can offer you a place though as I know there are some of them who have weekly PvP/Arena nights which should do you grand.
