The journey back to Marvellous mansions was a silent one. It was an uncomfortable silence punctuated by the odd sound of a passing car and occasional toot of a horn.
We need to talk son suddenly spoke Lord Marvellous I know father replied Matthew Just not now, you will have to give me time I understand son, Im not quite sure what happened to you today but ,please understand I had my reasons for keeping things from you
The sound off rubber against asphalt, changed to the familiar crunch of gravel
We have arrived home Sirs spoke the driver as the car slowed to a halt.
Matthew began reach for the door handle Like I said father , I need time he snapped as he exited the vehicle.
Welcome, home young master greeted the maid as Matthew stormed his way through the hall and up to his room
Greta, tell my father I do not want to be disturbed by anyone least of all him! he yelled back at the now flustered Maid.
Yes err young sir she hesitantly replied
Dont take any heed of him Greta said Lord Marvellous as he entered the Hall, Its me hes upset with and with good reason
Is there anything I do to help sir, asked Greta nervously
Come to think of it Greta, there is Lord Marvellous answered I know your were close to my wife

and youve kept your word for the past 10 years he flustered as he turned to face Greta what a good friend to my wife you must have being, though I have a question
Something happened to Junior today, during the race he somehow saw his mother he continued is it mere coincidence that today of all days you reveal you were my wife confidant
No sir, I dont believe it is sir she said while reaching into her pocket, today I received this
A letter? quizzed Lord Marvellous
It seems to be from youre wife revealed Greta she must have arranged for it to be delivered today sir before she left 10 year ago
Greta handed the letter over .
To my dearest Greta
If you are reading these words, It has being over 10 long years since we last spoke and my last assignment has not faired well. I hope my letter doesnt come as too much of a shock to you after this time and that it finds you and your family in good health.
You have being a loyal friend to me over the years , and I must call upon that loyalty one last time my dear friend.
10 years ago, I left you and my husband with instructions to carry out should I not return, however I fully expected that the grief of losing me ,would prevent him form fulfilling my wishes.
On the day we last spoke, I asked you not to reveal a word of what I had told you to anyone.
I ask you to keep your silence no more, go speak to my husband, it is time that the truth is revealed.
He needs you and more importantly my baby boy needs you.
Together you must teach Matthew who I was and more importantly who he will become.

Oh Greta I miss her so much sobbed a tearful Lord Marvellous The boy must hate me,
Ive pushed him away from me all these years , I just couldnt bear the thought of losing him and thats exactly what Ive done
Matthew told me shes alive said Lord Marvellous as he showed Greta the Pendant that Matthew had given him at the end of the race. Could she really still be alive after all these years
I suppose its possible sir your wife had great powers that none of us could even begin to understand comforted Greta The pendant had to come from somewhere after all
Greta, would you go see Junior asked Lord Marvellous Try and convince him to come and speak with me
Of course Sir replied Greta
Oh Greta, I would like you to be there when I speak to Matthew about his mother he asked I think its what Mary would have wanted and it would mean a lot to me too
I would be delighted to Sir smiled Greta as she headed out into the hall.
