Lo all, despite the fact I iz teh rulerorz Healorz!!111110neoneone!!! etc i need to respec vent due to the bizzare order in which i picked powers last respec.

Currently I have hasten/ss and air superiority/fly.

Is the SJ pool worth picking up for its acrobatics and dropping both fly/ss? What combo of travle powers do ppl suggest?

Currently i also have the leadership pool (quite like em) is it worth keeping these or completely dropping em?

Oh and lastly i could drop my hold from the psycic ancillery pool...

Ideas please ppl...

Basically i'm tweaking vent, the only thing i really want to change is the order i picked the powers and maybe getting SJ pool instead of speed/fly

If you are playing an empath as primarily support then you can ignore Combat Jumping as for the defence bonus it gives it isn't worth it considering you will rarely be drawing aggro (fingers crossed!).
Why do you have two travel powers? Haste is a must for any empath build for when the chips are realyl down, so Haste, Super Speed is plenty, leave Air Superiority and Fly out entirely.
Why don't you download hero builder and export your build, its easier to give advie that way.
My empath uses leadership, I thnk they are an invaluable pool for team support.

heh, you've never done the shadow shard tf's every weekend for a month have you?

In I4 i picked up fly, dropped it when vent hit 24 for ss, then picked it up again when i started going to the shadow shard... (around I5) makes life much easier....

It wasn't the combat jumping i was thinking about it for, it was the acrobatics...

lol

yeah personally i love AP... but dont go anywhere near it unless you have regen aura ready to spam (only reason i have that to be fair)

So you reckon acrobatics isnt needed?

If you don't attack much, I don't think there's too much point in picking up Acrobatics. You won't pull in enough aggro to make it worthwhile as far as the knockback protection - it's only the few things with loads of AoEs that will cause you trouble, and Hover will do the job alright. I'm quite fond of 3-slotted Hover for PvE battles. I can stay above or otherwise near the fight, I can move fast enough to keep up with the fighters, and it cuts down on how irritating knockback can be.

Some people swear by Acrobatics, and a lot of my characters have it, but I'e never felt the need for it on my Empath. She was TP early on, and now she has Recall Friend/TP and Hover/Fly. Fantastic combination of travel powers and handy in both PvE and PvP. I also have Fly slotted with some end reductions so that I can throw a few heals while Flying if I need to rush around a lot, despite not having Stamina.

The defence from CJ is pretty much always pointless. I think it's 2.5% unslotted. But it's worth it for the immob protection. I'd say go SS + SJ, it's a nice combo really. Although I still have fly on Empath, I love the power, and as you say (Venture), it's ace for the shards.

yup, far prefer having this on my Empath for knockback protection in PvE (and strangely it hasn't worked that badly in PvP... thought it would end up being far too slow).

However, having taken Psygon to the shards for a couple of the TFs I will say that having 3 slot hover does not count as a fast enough travel power to get around... particularly when the team are relying on your TP Friend skills

I wouldn't drop hasten though, far too useful a power just for getting your auras back up a bit quicker... imo

Ok, my level 50 empath doesnt have hasten and i do fine, with recharge in my powers i dont have a problem, agreed it would help but i wouldnt say its a must for every Empathy.
I have took SJ for a travel power as i think Acrobatics can only help me from holds etc, i have also took leadership to help the teams Acc,perception and Damage, i have only took 2 attacks one which i cant avoid and one hold being tesla cage! Ive also got fitness and Tp friend as i think it is very handy for an Empath to have. As for epics i have also took Power mastery, as Power build boosts your heals considerably. so i think, its personal choice and how you want to play your defender empath really. i find my build suits to me to ground
