Backstory-

Inago (Kyo Ikeda) had a sensei, named Danil Kaar, who was once the American hero known as Hopper. A mutation in Danil's body changed him physically and mentally. He became paranoid and accused Inny of plotting against him. They fought each other and the apprentice surpassed the master as Inago accidentally killed him. The authorities accused the little fella of murder and he had to flee the country. Inny fled to Paragon City, a place which Danil had told him a lot about.

Now-

Memory told Inago that he could see Danil watching over him, believing it was a ghost which actually turned out to be an astral projection. Danil Kaar wasn't dead afterall. Inny had also sensed his masters presence on several occassions. He felt himself being drawn back to Japan.

Thursday - Inago arrived in Tokyo Narita International Airport and journeyed to the temple he had once called home to find that it had been set ablaze. The monks had been slain and Danil stood over their bodies.

Master and student both fought long and hard. They both wouldn't give up, untill Danil let out a sonic scream (part of his mutation) that stunned Inago and temporarily severed his connection to the cirque mind. The teenager lay beaten and was taken captive.

Friday- All through the night and day, Danil Kaar tortured and beat Inago. He even managed to forced Inny's armor to appear before tearing parts of the plating off. He also burnt the cloak that Jester had given Inago.

Danil revealled that it was him who sent the ex-demon, Skara, to kill Inago. He also talked about how he had observed inny with his friends.

Saturday- After hours and hours of pain Inago was about to give up and die, when Danil spoke about him being Inny's uncle (Not his father! :P ). That he'd killed Inago's parents just after his birth as he wanted an apprentice. He also said that he'd kill all those that Inny cared about, one way or another.

The angered teenager used his remaining strength to break free of the chains before he used them to beat his captor to death. He then collapsed and passed out.

Monday- Inago woke to find himself in a bed with an old man treating his wounds. The remedies used healed the wounds quite quickly, however most remained as scars. The connection with the cirque mind had been restored.

As evening approached, Inago felt his strength returning and a strong need to be with his friends. So he thanked the old man for his help and left, despite reccomendations he should rest.

Good story, one word to say.

MORE!

I too enjoyed the story, but it has a major flaw.

It's a summary! Inny, get your rear in front of your PC and write it up as a proper piece of fiction, or Miss Ellie will make your life hell!

Ok... I did it today. Its short but I like it:

Darkness… It wasn’t a terrifying place. More like a peaceful void where nothing could touch him. Inago floated around as he tried to work out where he was. How did he get here? He thought back to previous events, and as he concentrated on them the blackness changed into a vision of what had happened. An image of a burning temple appeared and it suddenly hit him like a speeding train. His master was alive! Danil Kaar hadn’t died; he had survived and lured Inny back home to Japan. Lured him back to the place where it had all started... The pieces of the puzzle had been put together.

Danil Kaar was once known as Hopper, an American hero who had saved countless lives. He soon retired and relocated to a Buddhist Temple in Japan. Years past and he was soon forgotten by the people who had once praised him. They had moved onto newer, younger heroes.
Danil trained many minor heroes, but he was getting frustrated with his students. None of them were particularly gifted. That is until his own brother married and had a child. Roberto Kaar wasn’t a hero like Danil, however he did have great magical talents. So did Roberto’s wife, Saffron. From birth their child, who they named Kyo, showed much potential. Danil was exceptionally jealous of his brother and asked if he could train the child. Roberto had refused and was killed in a violent scuffle between them. Saffron witnessed the events but was murdered before she could call for help. Danil Kaar now had his apprentice.
Kyo’s last name was changed to hide his identity and was trained by his master from an early age. He showed a great talent for martial arts and displayed the ability to leap quite a distance like Hopper had before him, and so he was named Inago, Japanese for Grasshopper.
Years passed and at the age of 15, Inago was nearing the end of his training. Danil was envious of the teenager’s youth and skill. He had become paranoid of the little guy as he started to believe that Kyo knew about what happened to his parents. During a sparing match between them, Danil snapped and viciously attacked his student. Inago defended himself using all his training and fought bravely. The fight ended with the presumed death of Danil as he fell off a cliff. His body was never found but Kyo was accused of slaughtering his master. The confused youngster fled the country and headed for Paragon City, a place he had been told so much about. There he found security and friendship.

The images changed again and showed Inago standing at the Galaxy Girl statue with his friends, his sensei standing on a nearby building, watching… waiting... plotting his revenge. Danil had survived the fall and followed Inny to Paragon City where he observed him. He had hunted him through the city, and even sent assassins to kill his student. Though he hadn’t anticipated Kyo’s new found friends who helped him time and time again. It occurred to the bitter man that he needed to get Inago away from anyone who could help him, so he set a trap and baited it.

Swirls of colours changed the pictures back into the flaming temple, a lone figure standing in front of the orange blaze, one foot resting on a pile of bodies. Inago recognized this place immediately. He had just been there, he had grown up there. It was the temple he once called home. It had been burnt to the ground and the monks slaughtered. Why would his sensei do such a thing? The figure walked through the billowing smoke of the fire and stood in a clearing. This beast of a man was twisted in appearance. Clawed hands hung from his barrel like arms and sunken, black eyes glared from an insectoid head. Kyo recognized this creature. It had once been his master, but had somehow changed into a mixture of things, a mutant. When it spoke, Inago knew it was more than just Danil’s appearance that had changed; it was his personality as well.

The image was suddenly distorted by a sharp pain to the chest that forced Inago to cough up blood. He now knew where he was, he was chained to a stone outside the burnt down temple. His master had won the battle and tortured his student for what seemed like an eternity. The blackness cleared and Kyo could see his captor once more. The beast’s mandibles open in what could only have been a grin. “It’sss not time for passing out little one. The time of your death is at hand.” It spoke with an eerie chorus of clicks and hisses that only just translated into speech. Kyo looked down at his body through bloodshot eyes; a series of deep gashes covered his flesh and bruises made his skin appear somewhat darker than his natural colour. His arm was twisted in an awkward manner and had appeared to have been broken in several places, along with a few ribs. A cool breeze soothed some of the burns that had recently been afflicted. Next to the stone lay pieces of armor plating that had been torn from Inago’s now retracted armor as well as the ashes from the cloak that had been given to him by Jester.
“Your loved onesss will be nexssst. The bee, the half-breedsss. All of them will ssssuffer. They sssshall ssscream for daysss.” Inago’s almost crushed spirit was angered by the words coming from his former master’s mouth. No-one was going to hurt his friends, his family, not like this, not ever. He tensed his scarred fists as hard as he could, trickles of blood dripped on the stone from fresh wounds. With a scream like that of a banshee he pulled at the chains with all his remaining strength. They buckled under the pressure and a few of the links broke as he flew from the stone onto the startled Danil Kaar. The remaining chain hung from Inny’s shackles like flails which he used to repeatedly beat against his sensei’s head. The man roared, but ended up choking on his own vital fluids.

After what was almost half an hour of pure rage, Inago was doing nothing but hitting wet pieces of skull into the dirt. The world started to spin wildly and the blackness returned. The teenager collapsed next to the corpse of his foe and passed out. He had managed to free himself and become victorious, but at what cost? His body was mutilated and his spirit all but destroyed. Yet all hope isn’t lost as he’s discovered by an old hermit.
