Barracuda SF times?
This is on another server, but we pulled a 1:10 on the second day without shivans or nukes. I believe sub 50 min times if not better are very possible.

I haven't ran it yet, waiting for it to get fixed first. Nothing worse than broken content. People said for years that Dr.Q takes 8-12 hours, my first one was under 4. People said the STF takes 2 hours, my first one with all sg members was 49 mins. Grats on completing it. But as far as speed runs go, i can't imagine this being too long of a TF.

I agree 100% with you on this.
Look at the facts from my run: We really didn't skip/ghost/or speed through anything; we lost time explaining the mechanics of the final fight; we couldn't use the Mastermind temp power to keep Reichsman from using Unbreakable; we had no Shivans and/or Nukes to further speed up the chipping away of Reichsman's 226,000 HP; and we wasted some time here and there with bio breaks, general AFKs, and discussion before or after a mission.
With an experienced team and a functioning MM temp power, this really could be a short SF, albeit a short SF which still requires some skill and coordination to pull off.

Yea it's still in the feeling out phase. Ifi recall it's similiar to the hero one, 5 missions, the first 4 being nothing to write home about.
Shivans and nukes imo aren't worth the effort. I haven't gotten a shivan since 2007. A team of 8 that is all on vent, with toons that know their role and are familiar with the TF will get the time down pretty quick.
Speed runs we usually bring a main brute, a kin or two, 2 colds, 2 toons that can rez and then whatever else. Ghosting and teleporting is a waste of time. Cold buffs allow everyone to just fly through the missions. I ran the hero one on test, was a little disappointed. the first 4 missions were not all that great, with the last mish being the only thing with substance. But hey some people are easily amused and enjoy that sort of content. Me personally, i make my own content.

havent run either one yet...no one seems to be running one when im on
Okay, did it in 1 hour 53 minutes. Mostly because more than half the team didn't know how to do it... and also most of them were standing around while only 3 of us were going around to grab the AVs..... I think we could have probably shaved 20 - 30 minutes off the mish if eveyone knew what they had to do.
1 Mastermind, 1 Brute, 1 Rad, 1 Kinetic, 1 Thermal, 1 Dominator, 1 Stalker. Thinking back.. we should have gotten 2 MMs.. would have been easier. I think you need a Kin and a Rad to help out.. the thermal was also good as an extra buffer.
If you have a dominator.. have them use the temp power to hold the ambush mob... then have the corrupter use his/her temp power afterward to get rid of the mob. For the stalker power.. it lets you get in that laser room to activate the ambush death ray.. but can only be used 4 times. So make sure that you use it when you have a big mob in tow. Getting rid of the ambushes was key.
We of course had the Brute hold that M. Bison dude... while others helped kill the mobs. But naturally.. after the mobs were done... Reichman went down fairly quickly... the mobs make it take longer I think.
But anyways.. it can be done... probably in a shorter time once the whole team knows what they are doing... also hopefully w/less complaining than my team did.
This TF is so totally not worth 20 merits. It should be worth more. But meh.. at least I can say I did it and completed it.
Okay.. I did it with a completely different team tonight. I was just helping out some friends that never did it before/never completed it before. We had only 5 on the team. 1 brute, 2 kins, 1 rad, and a Mastermind. We completed it.
The whole mission went really well except for the last one.. as usual. Once we hit Reichman... we had a team wipe due to the ambushes. To make a long story short, we wondered if we could just pull the ambushes to us, because it was way too much chaos than we could handle. So the four of us stood outside the main room in the cave area while the brute pulled the ambushes towards us. Reichman stayed where he was and didn't follow. So... the brute pulled the ambushes towards us... and it was much smaller managable groups of maybe 8 - 10.. instead of 4 or 5 groups of 10 at one time. So even though it took a while... we managed to clear the entire ambush that way with no more team wipes.
Then we hit Reichman.. he went down really fast. I'd say 5 minutes. The key for our small group of 5 was to get rid of the ambush first then hit Reichman w/all we had. We did bust out one shivan for the last fight though.
But looking at it... this mish does require a brute, kin, rad, and a mastermind to make the end fight easier I think.
Our time was 2:50.. indeed not a very spectacular time.. but seeing as it was a team of 5, and 3 of the team didn't do the TF before, 1 of the team never completed it before, and me being the only one that completed it before.... we did very well. It was also a very good team up... everyone did their part and was a solid team. I actually had lots of fun w/the group despite the fact that it took so long. If any of you guys are reading this post, good job guys! I had fun... now off to bed with me!
I know we've had a 32-minute Khan TF, but I'm curious as to what sort of numbers people are putting up for the Barracuda SF. I realize that it's still broken due to the Power of Black Scorpion not having any effect on Reichsman, but that doesn't mean we should disqualify the runs that are happening now.
I'll start: Last week, I was on a team that completed it in 1:34:07. This includes taking time before fighting Ghost Widow to explain the fight with Reichsman, the temp powers, the 5th ambushes, etc. While we did have a Rad/Kin on our team, we used no nukes or Shivans that I'm aware of. We also suffered very little in the way of player deaths.
