Fiction: The Morning After
Okay, I like where this is going, but I would suggest either getting someone to edit for you or using spell check. Trying to decipher some of that made my head hurt.
City of Heroes taught me that when the world is burning, you don't just stand by and watch, you grab a fire extinguisher and do whatever you can to stop it-even if it's not much at all. Sign the petition to keep City of Heroes alive HERE.

The Prologue
In the merry month of June from me home I started,
Left the girls of Tuam so sad and broken hearted,
Saluted father dear, kissed me darling mother,
Drank a pint of beer, me grief and tears to smother,
Then off to reap the corn, leave where I was born,
Cut a stout black thorn to banish ghosts and goblins;
Bought a pair of brogues rattling o'er the bogs
And fright'ning all the dogs on the rocky road to Dublin.
One, two, three four, five, Hunt the Hare and turn her down the rocky
road and all the way to Dublin, Whack follol de rah ! Tyler belched out rather cacophonously as he stumbled through the district of Silver Lake with a foolish grin on his face. If he had been remotly sober Tyler would have had enough sence about him to keep quite or avoid the ally ways interly. Dispited the over aboundence of heroes in Paragon city it seemed people were still getting mugged daily. Steel Canyon was no exception, Tyler had had a rather unpleasent run in, with a fhandful of elemental wheelding mutans known as the 'Outcast' only a few days ago. Luckly at that time he had had his as saved a some electric blasting fool and even though the man was wearing spandex pants that were obviously two sizes to small, it was a gather impressive sight. Tyler had heard horror stories about the illegal activity that took place in Paragon City before he moved from his quaint little home in the suburbs of San Francisco to the sprawling metropolis but had blown them off as old wives tales, until he visited Atlas park the first time.
Of course the threat of being mugged was the last thing on his mind, as he stumbled through the city drunkenly. He had had a bit to much to drink.....all right it was more then a bit. On top of that he had been exactly reserved when it came to the pot. It was an Masquerade, at some [censored] bag's apartment to celebrated the end of the school year and disputed his better judgment Tyler had ended up going. It had been his first major outing since before finals. The idea of blowing off some steam had been to tempting to pass up. Even if he had a final in less then several hours from now. On the plus side he had won the costume contest. It wasn't really a surprise, Tyler brother had been regular at the local renaissance fairs back in San Francisco, Tyler had end up just borrowing some of his brother gear and going as a Saxon warrior. Most of it was authentic looking or well made. If Tyler ran into himself on the street he would have though he was crossing paths with a real life Barbadian of old. Tyler sang happly as he made his way through the street , the weight of the cheesy plastic truphe in one had and in the other the steel tough of his shield.
Somewhere in his mind an alarm went off as the sky took on a sickly green ting and the air filled with the horrible cry of the cities horns screeched in terror. Unfortunately in his drug induced stubborn Tyler failed to comprehend the exacted nature of the warning. He stood there looking up at the sky through druken fog with a placid look grin on his face, unaware of the danger, as he watch the alian drop ships descend upon the unready city. The Rikie were invading once again. It was a weekly event. Only different this time was normally Tyler had enough scene to find shelter when the aliens attacted. There was bright green light as the ship fired.
Aww [censored]- Tyler managed to stutture, finally coming to his since as the plasma beam hit, barly an iinch from were the young collage man stood. Tyler screamed as he was swept off his feet and sent flying into mid air. Only to have his flight cut untimly short as he body meet with a rather soild wall. The last thing Tyler heard was the soft clank of the trophy as the darkness embraced him. [/size]
