Hang lights lower?

Is there any reliable way to hang lights lower than the ceiling? It's ok if they "float" a but away from the ceiling, I can cover that up myself.

Most lights will hang from other lights. Use that as your method.

And in some cases, itself.
Same thing happened to me building the sushi bar in my base, the hanging light actually being in the kitchen ceiling was a trick I discovered on accident trying to center aligned.
