SS/Fire Build Help

I can't seem to find a guide on IO sets for SS/Fire, so could I get some help with my build? I do a lot of fire AE missions so I'd like to keep Temperature Protection to cap my fire resist, and past that I'm just trying to keep my recovery, recharge, and regen high. I like the build so far but I'd like to hear some expert opinions.

I think it is a mistake to build a specialized brute around AE.

Your power choices seem reasonable. The self rez is handy if you can fit it in, especially since fire brutes always feel a bit squishier than other sets.

I see you have built this character to be functional at lower levels and retain set bonuses. I'm curious to know what content you want to do again. I have yet to want to build one for lower content.

In today's market, you have to really want purples to slot for them. If it's going to be "just another fifty", you may want to reconsider. Your build could cost 2 billion infamy easily in the current market. This would not be what I would want to sink 2 billion in.


Now IO set advice:

Force Feedback is good in footstomp and next-to useless in single target attacks. Take it out of punch. It just doesn't fire often enough. It will fire almost every time you use footstomp if you are saturated.

Then, if you aren't going for the melee defense, touch of death is an expensive set to go for. You could probably find Mako's cheaper for slightly better set bonuses (3% vs 2.5%). The fifth slot could be a proc or frankenslot it for better stats.

You are eating way too much endurance with blazing aura. Obliteration has great bonuses, but you will be happier with your endurance management with scirocco, and gain a bit more regen. I agree, Obliteration is great in burn.

I would try to get more recharge out of consume. SS and Hasten with a lot of recharge will eat your endurance, even with all of that recovery from perf/numi/miracle/imperviums/accolades. You'll need to fire it more than once a minute. Try about once every 30 seconds if you're steamrolling, considering you only gain 2 end/second and your hardest hitting attacks are not slotted for end redux (KoB/FS).

The most useful thing you could do is get consume firing faster and drop that FF proc from punch. That and consider a lvl 50 dual-build as well since you seem to want to do AE. If you have the 2 billion inf to spend, you would be wise to have one built for better high-level content.
