New Hardware but some serious lag...

Hi everyone, I just got some new hardware and got it all installed... and everything in the game looks amazing. I'm lagging really badly, rubberbanding like crazy and /sync command isn't doing anything for me.

I went from using a single core cpu to a dual core AMD, and an nVidia GeForce 8500GT to an ATi Radeon 4830. I just reinstalled Windows XP with latest drivers from the manufacturer's websites... and I'm stumped.

I guess my question here is, are there any known issues with CoX and the hardware I mentioned?

This is the first computer I've put together in a few years.. the last time I did so P3's were brand new. I'm well aware of the debate between AMD and Intel, ATi and nVidia... and I chose the parts that I did due to concern for cost and performance. BTW, this rig plays Left 4 Dead and Unreal Tournament 3 both at 1680x1050 4xAA and 8xAnisotropy at 70fps plus. But I spend a lot more time on CoH... this is making me nuts.

Just for simplicity's sake, start by turning off:
<ul type="square">[*]Anti-Aliasing[*]Bloom Lighting[*]Depth of Field[*]"High" Water Effects[/list]
All are known to cause issues with ATI cards. If it makes you feel any better, it's because of the [censored] support for OpenGL that Catalyst drivers have, not because of the hardware itself.

Actually I think I worked it out... I reset my cable modem and forced it to get a new IP, then cleared my DNS. All's well besides the limitations of using AA and some other bells and whisltes.

My other problem was due to the fact that my power supply was inadequate, I replaced a 380 watt PSU with a 500 watt from NewEgg and this thing is screaming now
