Copying entire CoH game from XP to Vista

Im trying to copy the entire City of Heroes folder from my XP machine's program files to my Vista machines Program Files x86 or whatever.

The client doesnt detect that the entire game is already installed and tries to install it even though its all there

Help?

Copying all the files != installing. The system needs to make registry entries before the game is considered "installed". Just install it like you normally would - if you have the game files already copied, that actually saves you a lot of time because you won't need to update.

Copy the updater to your desktop (don't make a shortcut...COPY IT). Run the updater from the desktop. Tell it to install into your preferred directory. Let it do its thing. When it's done, delete the copy from your desktop, and all the garbage that it puts on there (CohUpdater.prv and other detritus).
