Well, having more than 3 of any specific enhancement in a single power isn't really going to get you much so you probably want to pare down Hasten and RttC to 3 rech and 3 heal/1end respectively. Quick Recovery is also strong than Stamina (which I really do wish people would learn...) so you'll want to put 3 slots into QR before you put any slots into Stamina. The same goes for Fast Healing and Health. Indomitable Will only provides defense against psychic attacks so you'll be better served just putting in an end redux.

I would do it something more like this:

I took the Leaping pool because then you'll actually get some excellent vertical capability, plus Combat Jumping, which is awesome. I delayed the Fitness pool (Stamina should be your 35 choice) because you've already got decent enough +recov without it. You probably won't really need it until you get the Fighting pool (which should be what you aim for in your 40s).

Just to be clear, what Umbral's saying about more than three enhancements doesn't apply to TO, DO, and low-level IO enhancements. Enhancement Diversification kicks in at particular percentages, not numbers of enhancements.

Well yeah, we are talking SOs aren't we? We're above level 22... I guess I kinda assumed...

People slot something lower than SO's? I usually just try to grind it to 22 myself.

also why gamblers cut over sotw? its less damage but recharges a little faster. just wondering

Kat/WP is an extremely fun build. My own is without a doubt my favorite character, having seen considerably more play time than any other. It offers a great mixture of layered defenses and solid damage options.

While you can slot under the assumption you'll be working with DOs prior to a respec, I'd suggest building with SOs or (perhaps common) IOs in mind from the beginning. The odd DO here or there isn't going to make enough of a difference to be worth burning a respec later. One suggestion I have is to work with temporary travel powers through the early levels if you're willing. It's quite helpful to free up the power selection a little.

With that in mind, there are a few things I would recommend changing:

Firstly, Divine Avalanche should almost certainly be taken at 8. You'll want a third attack to round out your damage output early on, and it's quite serviceable as an attack power. It also has a huge impact on your survivability; you may well find it helps more than Mind Over Body, for example.

Gambler's Cut is often taken over Sting of the Wasp these days thanks to its extremely short animation and quick recharge. This gives it surprisingly good numbers overall. In higher end IO builds, it is often used every other attack in your standard chain, frequently slotted with Achilles' Heel or damage procs to get the most out of it. Whether working with SOs or an unlimited budget, I'd take it over SotW.

Keep in mind Hasten does essentially nothing for your secondary, so its only real value is for increasing your damage output. Personally, I think the slots you've devoted to it would be better used on the attack themselves.

As mentioned, Quick Recovery and Fast Healing should be slotted before Stamina and Health.

I wouldn't slot RttC (or practically any other toggle) for end reduction before getting attacks well-slotted, since they tend to burn far more endurance in typical situations.

HPT can be slotted for resistance but the returns are fairly low; it's an option in the later levels but probably should not be done at this point. The health bonus is more substantial.

Good luck with the build. Hope you enjoy the character.

I think I get what your saying sorry Even though I played during the old school days things have changed alot for me.
example. I have like 8 archtypes that are < lvl 5 with 15 free tailor sessions and 1 or 2 free respects lol.

Would you mind posting the build your talking about for me?

Also where do you get temp travel powers on the hero side. I have gotten them on the villian side just not sure where to go.

thanks again everyone for schooling me.

For temp travel powers you can get 2 early on, the first is the flight one from the safeguard mission for levels 5-10, you get safeguards from radio missions in Kings Row. (once you complete a few, it'll tell you to talk to the detective who will give you the mission). The next can be obtained from the 11-15 safeguard mission, which gives you super jump.

Well, see, there are these things called “stores” in the zones where you can buy “SOs” that enhance your powers kind of like IOs. Lazy people like me use them rather than spend time waiting for bids to fill or spend influence to buy it nao at the market. Yes, I should just get field crafter on some character and toss a ton into base storage. As I said, lazy.

So I just posted up my guide for Kat/WP, it's not complete yet but I've put some of my theory and concepts into it if you wanted to give it a whirl.

why hurdle at 24???

[/ QUOTE ]

Hurdle will increase your movement more than Swift will, especially if you're using Super Jump. Combat Jumping + Hurdle is amazingly fast for in-mission movement as well. You just have to learn to hop around, which isn't too hard.

[ QUOTE ]
also why gamblers cut over sotw? its less damage but recharges a little faster. just wondering

[/ QUOTE ]

Gambler's Cut deals less damage but activates faster. Because activation time is the primary limiter on how much damage you can deal over time, you have to figure out how much an attack deals per animation second (generally modified for Arcanatime, but that's gonna complicate things).

SotW deals 79.8 damage in 1.17 (Arcanatime: 1.32) seconds. That's 68.2 (Arc-time: 60.45) DPA.

GC deals 57.8 damage in .67 (Arcanatime: .924) seconds. That's 86.26 (Arc-time: 62.55) DPA.

anyone else have a build I could compare to . thanks

Here's my build which doesn't have quite as high of DPS as some builds might, but it's got the survivability you'll want. But the only reason you want high DPS is if you're soloing AVs or Pylons, which this build can still do just a little more slowly. My favorite haunt is in the RWZ whooping up on 54s and this build doesn't have any issues taking on a group of them. You just might want to bring along a purple or two though if you're thinking of taking on multiple groups.

Have fun!
