Help! Game freezing in combat!

Is anyone having an issue on a laptop (or PC) where as soon as you enter combat with something the game will freeze?

I've just started the game up again and on a new laptop. Whenever I enter combat with anything the game will just freeze up. My graphics card is recent, my drivers are up to date. I'm running a Vista Home Premium and nVidia graphics card.

Anyone have this problem before that can help?

There are several 'vista and nvidia' threads stickied on the front of this forum. Go through some of them to see what kind of things you can do to stop the freezing.

And what kind of freezing is it? Is it actually a freeze, where you have to reset your computer, or is it a crash where it's just the game? If it's a crash, what error pops up?
