Disabling music

Is there a way to keep the regular sounds and disable just the music?

The music slider does absolutely nothing for me. And the sound slider disables all sounds.

There are some music pieces that are not music, but sound fx. /emote boombox is one of these, as are some of the music bits you hear in, for instance, sewer maps.

Music slider works for world music, the stuff you hear as you change neighborhoods in a zone.
