The City Scoop ~Discussion~ Feb. 13th 2009
Yay we made teh Scoop!
Happy Valentines day everyone!
Big thanks to LJ for that piece and to EnVee for the suggestion...
The Heck-tic Life/Heroic Life comic was friggin' hilarious! Thanks!
I liked the special on military-themed costumes- VERY well done.
A while ago, I did some thinking about that myself, including how to incorporate special things like capes and auras into military gear.
Most capes would be off-limits, but some of the translucent ones, or the feather-pattern cape could be coloured to look like the shaggy camoflauge gear worn by snipers. Or the scarf cape might compliment a dress uniform.
As for the auras, pair the right eye aura with the right goggles or visor, and you've got some high-tech tactical gear.

Good point!
Oh, and thanks. Being a civilian who works for the military I wanted to make sure I did the article with a degree of accuracy and respect, while staying in character. Working at HQ I see Army, Navy and Air Force personnel in and out of uniform everyday, so that made it pretty easy.

An interesting bit of trivia is that "Elementary, my dear Watson" does not appear in any of the Sherlock Holmes stories written by Arthur Conan Doyle, yet it has become the signature quote of the character.
"But in our enthusiasm, we could not resist a radical overhaul of the system, in which all of its major weaknesses have been exposed, analyzed, and replaced with new weaknesses."
