Welll.... what you can do is use Windows Movie Maker or iMovie, or whatever other video program you have, or even Quicktime Pro if you have it, and grab "still frames" and save them as JPG's. Look in your File menu when you have the video clip loaded, you should be able to export the frame you're currently viewing. Or, dump the whole thing as 'stills', making a kind of flipbook (this of course will take up a LOT of space!)
The problem is, sometimes they aren't very clear. I notice I get much less quality from my DV camera than I did with a standard 35mm disposable camera that I'd have 'digitally processed' when the film was developed.

Is the Handycam you're using a tape model or cd?

Okay. This should get you started on information. You're going to need to hook your camera up to your computer and have software that can transfer from your camera to the computer. For this I'd check your manual.
You can also check out places such as photography.com Google "convert video to digital" or "transfer video to computer." Pulls up a lot of information. My expertise is more in film stills, not video, unfortunately. That's the most I can help you there.

Hey Folks,
I have no idea where to post this for a start since technically its not coh related but somewhat sorta can be..
Anyhow here's the deal, I've got a Sony Handcam that i've had for years, which takes pictures along with video how ever with the programs it came with i've yet to be able to take the pictures off the video to beable to print them which is what i'd like to do instead of always having to have video cd's ect.... So i'm asking the smart people that know thier stuff and are capable of loads of things to please point me in a direction that I must go in order to do what it is that i'd like to do which is remove still shots from live video's.....
Any and all help is GReatly Apreciated.
