need to bring the eyes down and inwards some. an easy way to figure out how wide ot put them is that the distance between the eyes is about the same length as the width of an eye

I think your background is distracting, and you don't need it to be so busy... Also as a rule of thumb, if the focus is one color, I would go with a muted compliment to let the focus show up.
Otherwise fine start, enjoy the program, I love Illustrator! You should do a search on DA for free brushes, some good stuff there to play with...
Heh, thanks. the background is just there because I wanted some contrast while I worked, since her hair is white. Come final rendition, there will be a real background
Well, it's a small update, but here it is. there is more of her body done "Offscreen" but I decided not to include that in the snapshot.
Well, I've been practicing in illustrator, and wanted to know what others thought of this ?
I'm not taking commissions (yet) because I need more practice, and they take too long to do, but depending on what others think, I might go forward with it and practice until I'm at the point where I can do these quickly enough to satisfy commissions
