Mkay, so, as I'm sure people have noticed since I came back >.> I'm very much into the Warhammer 40k thing right now. As such, that's where most of my art has been focused of late. I know its not entirely appropriate for the CoH forums, and thus am sticking all but my finished works in the Squirrel Tree to keep them out of people's way...

Buuuut...

After an incident on a different forum (one actually 40k related) today; I decided I needed to find a good place to post my 40k related artwork.

Anyone know of a good website with a community similar-ish to what I have here? <~.~> I know that sounds like a stupid question; but this other website where I tried to post my art... I kinda just get picked on it feels like <-.-> I know my work isn't the greatest, and I admit as much every time I post; but I dunno; it ticked me off and I've decided I won't bother posting my art there any more as its obviously not wanted.

I'll still post it here, though mostly out of the way cause I don't want to clog this forum with my new obsession >.> but, any advice on a good 40k site to post art? <~.~> I guess thats my question really.

*Sorry for the longwinded kinda odd wording here; adjusting to higher dosage of my anti-depressants <x-x>*

Other than deviantArt? Which I know isn't 40k specific, nor probably offers the kind of traffic you're looking for.

I've been known to go to The Drawing Board. Although I'm at best an infrequent visitor there lately, there are quite a few that will offer decent advice and critiques, and trolling/spamming is kept to a minimum.

That's one of the few other art sites I visit that's all-age appropriate.

A quick google showed a few 40K-specific sites, but I couldn't tell you what the community's like there.

Yah, Deviant I post stuff on, but to be honest, you only get views from people you know, or if you're quite good it seems <x.x> People of mediocre ability like myself pretty much get ignored barring friends.

(One of the reasons I've stayed here so long is because this is a positive and encouraging environment >.< I just realize the latest branch to my artistic endevours isn't going to be much interest for most here <~.~&gt

I may have to try this Drawing Board place. I love good constructive critiques, but thats not what I was getting at this other place <x.x>; (I got a couple good ones, but mostly it was just "OMG MORE ANIME STUFF?! BALAAAAAAH" - Yes, I know its overdone, but its what I like <;.;> I didn't force anyone to look either... *sigh* <x.x&gt

Meh, I was criticized a lot for doing anime when I first started out. Like you say, you didn't force them to look.

I always try to follow the advice: If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Unless specifically asked for a critique, and even then, I try to be as nice as possible.

Not sure if this might be someplace else to go, but Artuproar.com was at one time a fairly decent place to go. Again, I haven't been there in a long time, so I don't know how it is now.
