Yeah hit your printscreen then open up paint. From your paint program go to edit and paste it into the paint program. From there you can crop it up or whatever.

Printscreen works as a screenshot taker only when in-game in the environment. When you are in a tailor screen or costume creator screen, it justs works as it normally does on microsoft.. As a copy button, like you said.

Ummm there is a better way to do Screenshots in CoH.
Use PrintScreen but then goto your Screen Shot folder in your main CoH folder. It takes a screen-cap AND removes the interface so it's all nice and purty instead of cluttered with chat boxs and inspiration racks.

Exactly. And I have lots of weird 'blank wall' pictures... but they're from when I was copying my background bio and powers screens and needed a nice solid color background They get in the folder too, only not very usefully.
It's definitely wise to have your Paint program whatever one you're using, open before starting up.

You missed the point of the discussion, the question was how to take a shot in the Tailor screen not a normal screenshot in game.
If you have one of those F Lock keys like my keyboard does, that has to be off, or disabled for the printscreen button to work. I like rotating my toon in the character creator, then I line up the top line to create a montage. But to do this right, you have to crop fairly the same size each time... Here's an example I'm using for my upcoming TA piece:

Yup! I take normal screenshots all the time- i'm as bad in-game as i am with a normal camera in RL, lol. It was just the one where I'm at the tailor screen (or costume part when I make a new character) that had me confuzzled.
Although, I didn't know the printscreen key doesn't work wiht an F Lock.. um... thing. (I assume I don't have one, since I just tried it,and it worked great!)

Thats easy too just go to tinyurl.com and copy paste the url you want to shorten into the space provided, then give it a sec and they'll give you the shortened version that you can use!

Okay, given that screen captures of the costume creation screen (during toon creation and/or at ICON) are used quite frequently for references for art commish's and such...
I've got a horribly n00b question.
How do you do a screen capture? Me and my idot self hasn't figured it out yet. Hitting my key for screenshot doesn't work, and neither does my printscreen key, so... I was just wondering how ya'll do it.
