And of course, /demostop when yer done recording
It's not working for some reason. I am on the test server, would that make a diference?
It's been a while, but I'm pretty sre you can record on test.
Are you checking the folder after recording? Typing the command into the prompt, does not yield any response (IIRC) if that's what you are looking for. Make sure you check the folder to see if a file shows up with the name you assigned it.
Ya it doesn't change anything in game if that's what you think. You just need to remember to always name your Demo files when starting the recording.

Yeah I thought maybe it was have trouble creating the folder so I created a client_demos folder just in case, but it is empty after I each time I try.
I have demos on another PC from a long time ago, I might have to change to that one and give it a try. Maybe something is messed up on this one?
Make sure you are checking your test folder and not the regular City of Heroes folder. They are different. When you start test the first time, you are asked where you want to save the test files to, and that's where your demos are recording to as well.
You really shouldn't have made a new folder. That could have been the problem.

It must be something messed up on this PC, I can do it on the other one. Bummer, this one has the best video card and I want to embed the video in a presentation I have coming up.
Well thanks for the help, I guess I need to figure out what is wrong with this PC. Maybe I need to install CoH under my profile, rather than the program folder. I am wondering of the security on this one is set to high? Although I am an admin on this box. Oh well, gott run will have to try it later tonight.
I thought the commands were demo_record and demo_stop but I tried this and didn't get any files. i know I have done this in the past, but can't rememeber the commands exactly and the options that go with it. Once I have it recorded I will use Fraps to cenvert it to video, but I like the way the ingame recording doesn't include all the information boxes.
Thanks,
