I would not recommend one specific thread. Start reading the open RP's and think, "Can my character add something?" If yes, and it looks fun, join! It takes a little while to get people really interacting with you but it is worth it and it can make your character really grow.
That said, what I think the threads with the broadest spectrums of possible characters...

Make sure that you ask first. Quite a few of those Open-RPs are no longer fully open, but since we cannot go back and edit posts made months ago the thread title cannot be changed to reflect it.
Going for a long stretch without a good computer to play CoH/V so im looking for a good roleplay thread to feed my heroic and villianous needs.I check the forums about every other week day and sometimes on week ends. I prefer a fun relaxed atmosphere.
