Try this guide for forum avatars. As far as links, you do it the same way you do a link in a post - you go to your signature under My Home => Personal and you put in a link as part of your signature. It uses the form <font class="small">Code:[/color]<hr /><pre>Link Here</pre><hr /> This will cause the words Link Here to show up in green and act as a link to whatever you specified.
