I am going to try to do realistic-ish hair on BD, because if I try to do an anime-ish mohawk, it... um... REALLY doesn't look right.

Have you tried searching DeviantArt.com? Lots of Tutorials there.

The only hair tutorial I can think of is by a guy on Deviantart whose name escapes me right now... Daggerpoint, I think?
