((Yes, this is a repeat of what I posted on the Virtue forum. I am not a partiuclarly bright lemur and did not even realize there was a forum just for art. So here ya go....))
My husband is currently looking for someone interested in illustrating his manga script. He has many professional contacts and is a published author (12 novels). This is a new venue for him, but he believes that several of his projects would translate very well to the visual.
Please send me a private message here on the boards if you are interested in contacting him. If at all possible include a link to any site that you have a portfolio of your work. He's seen many pages from artists here and he's been impressed, but he has no idea who might be interested in pursuing this. Also, please include an e-mail address and I will pass it on to him so that he can contact you.
No, professional credentials will not be a deciding factor in whether or not he contacts you. Since this is a brand new venue for him as well, he is not expecting someone with years of manga experience to jump into the projects.
