I once heard a plan to take down Hammi that involved everyone getting the nemesis staff and blasting him (it) from range with it. Oddly this one never got past the planning stage.

Anyway... this is a lot better than the previous incarnation. It looks complete now, and the darker clouds really make TA pop out. I'm not a fan of the cape leaving the frame, but since I didn't say anything before, I'll let that little criticizm go.

I'm not sure I would've gone with you on that one, though. I know it's a little unconventional, but one of the things I like most about the composition is how unbalanced it is vertically, with the cape leaving the frame on the top, and plenty of space at the bottom. I was using that to try to convey TA swooping down from above without any other details for reference like a city below, etc. As it was, I ended up placing the moon partially for reference on that count (and also to make the yellow light on the left half of TA make sense)
Although I'm sure you would've made a very convincing argument as to why the cape shouldn't be leaving the top of the frame. Yeah, I know, it eliminates the whole "bottom of the cape silhouette" device, but I'm not much of a cape guy. I'm the anti-McFarlane.

PMD, that turned out great! I love the background, and I don't have a problem with the cape being up like that. It accentuates the idea that he is moving down vert fast towards the veiwer.
Two minor nit picks, though. There is a weird line in the upper left coner that doesn't seem to belong to anything. It looks like a seam in a wall or something.
Second, the clouds flow up and around the lower part of the moon but do not obscure it at all, and they should at least have some wispy presence over it, in my opinion.
Still, excellent job! A very nice addtion to TA's collection.
I think, from the angle of that line in comparision to others in the picture, that it's meant to be a speed line? Just a guess.
And I have to agree with the others. That turned out really, really well PMD!
As GreyMist said I like the contrast with the red sky; moon is cool too. good lighting/shadowing.

The new sky definitely works a helluva lot better then the old one you had. Very nice! I would agree with Mega about the moon though... it a good moon and it works, but it did strike me as being too perfect and... pasted on? I mean, it good as is, but as was suggested, some clouds over lapping would have made it even better Just something to keep in mind next time around.

Yeah, that's a speed line. When I darkened the background, I didn't adjust the layer with the speed lines (Motion Blur FTW) so they kind of disappeared, except in that one spot where the background is lighter. Despite calling it "done" I might fix that before sending it off to TA. It's a relatively quick fix.
Aw, you guys caught me on the moon. It's a 3d rendering that I did in Maya (I used a free texture map of the moon's surface as both the color map and bump map) I altered it significantly in Photoshop,changing the colors, adding the glow, and reducing the opacity to get it to fit in with the rest of the picture, or so I thought! Well, I slipped it by everyone except two of the more talented artistic eyes on the board, so I'm gonna call that a "win."
