Thanks, Graver's work has inspired me to choose some other means of coloring... I figure it's worth a doodle as it hits me, anyway, now back to WP before he starts wondering...

...ooo...I like that one of feralkat...I think the "smirk" is what does it for me...

practicing in other mediums is nothing but a good thing as it expands our over all knowledge. this is true even if you have no plans on using it ever....then again, one could find some aspect that they do like and works for their preferred medium...

bottomline...take your time LadyJ. doodle away, I am in no rush... ~

It's not that I don't want to finish yours, it's just it requires a lot of flatting, to get right... the doodles are all done on 1 layer, so it's kind of like brain farting. Coloring well on the other hand requires concentration... and less board posting

Oh and who you calling a Lady... when I first started posting I put my name up, and everyone ignored it, now I'm stuck in gender confusional posts! I take umbrage sir...

nice line work on the pieces...becoming a trend... definately one of the artists that I look forward to seeing more and more from...

critiquewise...on the study for Rox I would look at making use of shading/highlighting to bring out his face...otherwise all the line work is lose in the deep color being used.~

gotcha... I'm at that point where I'm too tired to see it... but this is next on my list, will make a note in the moring. question, do you think his head is too small?

Posted

for the overall pic....yes....but that's just my preference for body styles. there some pieces in which it works just fine for the style and the feeling the artist is trying to convey.

for this particular piece I believe that it would do the overall more justice if it was larger....~

Yay! I like the new pose! As for the skin study, my computer's dead and this one doesn't have PS so I can't quite remember what filter that is, but I would suggest making the cracks further apart. When you shrink the picture they're going to be very pushed together and hide the linework that you've done.

Anywayz, love the pic and can't wait.
