Greetings Humans of Paragon City. The war which the Holy Simian Empire has been waging against the Rikti is going well and the Simian Defense Force (SDF) thanks you for your support. Headquarters staff on our home planet, Simia, have made the decision to move the battle to the next phase of engagement. As such, they have decided to send us troops from the most recently developed Altered Species. They have collected the specifications of the AS available for use in the war against the Rikti and sent them to me.
Unfortunately, some techno-weenie REMF decided that connecting current communications technology to Simian Portal technology and adding in a hint of his home-developed AI would greatly increase the speed of communications. It does, unfortunately the moron neglected to properly fill in the headers for his communications. This resulted in a rather interesting application of the Heisenburg Uncertainty Principle. In essence, we are not sure whose in-box these specifications will arrive.
Should you find these specifications, please forward them to AS.Specs@gmail.com. As thanks for your assistance, the SDF will provide a reward consisting of funds covering 60 days living expenses in Paragon City as well as first access to the latest transitioning technology.

The Simian Defense Force (Infinity) is pleased to announce the greatest contest ever run by a SG. In order to continue down the ground-breaking and revolutionary path provided by Cryptic Studios, NCSoft and City of Heroes, we are providing the City of Heroes community the chance to design a species for inclusion into the ranks of the Altered Species.
This contest is open to all those currently playing City of Heroes. The contest winner will, upon fulfilling the conditions noted below, receive a 60 day City of Heroes game card as well as entry into the Simian Defense force and will have the privilege of being the first person to play his/her Altered Species.
The winning entry will contain a detailed tutorial on how to create the AS in the City of Heroes Character creator including screenshots. (participants will be responsible for hosting the images. Try www.theimagehosting.com). It will also include (at a minimum) a basic outline of the cultural history of the AS as well as the manner by which it was brought into the SDF. In order to qualify for the 60 day gamecard, the player submitting the chosen AS must aid in fleshing out the backstory. Send your entry to as.specs@gmail.com.
Current SDF members will vote on the entries in order to determine a winner. Any SDF member that wishes to submit an entry will be prohibited from voting as long as their entry is in the running.
More details will be provided in future weeks. The contest will start in the weeks after Issue 7 hits the live servers and will last for 3 weeks.
All entries become property of the Simian Defense Force. The Simian Defense Force reserves the right to alter parts of the winning costume in order to better fit the overall theme of the Simian Defense Force. The Simian Defense Force also reserves the right to declare no winner on the grounds that all the entries are below standard.
