(OCC: heres a little back round info about Twack. this is from the new recruts open RP)
Adam Keen was sitting on top of a building, in a city unfamiliar to him. It was early in the afternoon. And the sunlight was bright in his eyes. Standing up he walked to the very edge of the building. Looking over his toes he saw the street below. Adam seamed to be at least five hundred feet up. Every thing was a slight blur. The cars looked so small they seemed to be colored ants. All he saw of people were little lines moving this way and that.
A wind picked up behind him and he lost balance. Tipping over the edge of the building he felt no fear. Adam hurtled toward the ground picking up speed as he fell. The cars all of a sudden got bigger and he could see the lines of people close enough to tell their hair colors.
Then all of a sudden he felt cold and stopped falling. He just hung there about fifty feet above the ground yet no one noticed him. He wanted to be on the ground so he willed him self to fall again. Adam fell again but slower this time and landed in front of a cab car. He looked around every one was staring at him now.
HELLP ME! cried a voice the noise was so sudden that every one turned to look. A woman was being robed. Every one but Adam went back to what they were doing. The thief yanked the purrs free of the womans hands.
Adam leapt toward the thief. When he was with in sight of the criminal, Adam lifted his hand to the thiefs face as to say stop. For the first time he notice how he was dealing with. He had his hand up to a hellion. It was a gang anarchists of that are located in paragon city. This one wore a mask showing that he had a rank.
The hellions hands ignited in flames. Reaching for Adams outstretched palm the hellion stopped dead. Slowly the hellion ascended off the ground. The hellion seemed to be struggling to move but was stuck in mid air. Adams eyes grew wide and he backed away form the struggling gangster. The hellion dropped to the ground and landed hard on his butt. Dropping the purse and running.
Looking around every one was staring at him again the silence was split again by an unnerving scream.
He sat up right, he would have been back in his bed, but he was five feet above it. His mother was the one that had screamed. She was slumped against the wall a letter was clutched in her hand.
Adam tried to get down but all he could do was float. Every time he moved his mother would scream. Finally falling to the ground he grabbed his mother and tried to hold her but she fought him. She keep screaming and a few seconds later some one knocked on the door. She stopped screaming dropped the letter and fled toward the door.
Bending down Adam picked up the letter. His name was on it and it was sealed with a weird symbol like a cell. Breaking the seal he opened the letter. In side was a piece of paper and some type of accesses card. Opening the letter he read:
Adam Keen (or as your friends used to call you, Twack)
If you'd like to start your career as a superhero come to 8321 Virtue Court in Atlas Park. Should you choose to accept this offer merely present the attached keycard at the front door and you will be permitted to enter. The offer expires in exactly 24 hours.

Staring at the letter in amazement and confusion Adam knew his answer.
Hearing footsteps coming down the hall Adam broke open his window without touching it and jumped out and flew away. He didnt know exactly how he was flying but he was. The though of this scared him but he just kept heading to the kings row train station.
Getting on the train Adam noticed all the other heroes. Some had capes others had big metal fists. The train pulled up to galaxy city, then to skyway city, where most of the heroes got off the train
Finally arriving in Atlas Park Adam got off the train. Looking around there were tons of robberies going on. But looking his watch he didnt have time to help any one.
He looked to his right there was a group of heroes. (Or at least they look like heroes) He walked over to them and taped one of them one on the shoulder.
Twack said Hello My name is-
I know who you are and why youre here if you want your answers follow me said a voice in his head
Twack spun around looking for where the voice had come form it came again seemingly out of nowhere
They guy you just poked, is the one talking to you. I know why youre here I read you mind follow me if you want to get to 8321 Virtue Court
Turning back to the man who was supposedly speaking to him.
Ok lets go Twack said to him
Obviously you arent a telekinetic or a mind controller, said the mans voice then what are your powers and what dose he want with you?
Who is he and I dont know what powers I have I just found my self floating in my room this morning and got a letter sinned a friend asked Twack
Well hell answer that for you well off me go you need to take you test
What test? Twack asked

The man jumped off of the ledge of the train station. Twack almost yelled after him then saw the men floating just like him
Well are you going to fly with me or not?

Twack jumped off the ledge and flew toward the man. The man started off in the direction of a great statue of a man holding up the globe
Thats atlas right? Twack asked

Twack arrived at a small house about 15 minutes later. He landed on the step as reader asked him a question
What can you do power wise. I can see that you can fly and from what I read in you mind you are able to break things like that window in your room. Is there any thing else? Im not that great of a mind reader and I can only tell what has happened to you in the last week
Do you know about Amber? Twack asked

I seem to be able to fly at will, though I dont know how. Also I had a dream this morning I was fighting a
Hellion, Twack whispered this word as they were feared by citizens living in Kings Row and I held my hand up to it and it floated off the ground! I dont know if this will mean any thing I just thought you should know
From the sounds of it you seam to slightly control gravity thus making you fly and holding the hellion in the air. For most heroes when they have a dream before gaining super powers it describes their powers to them. But with the breaking the window I dont know might be air control its very rare. Was either you mother of father a super powered human? If so then you might ask them.
Twacks thoughts surged back to his mothers scream and her fighting him to get away
Well it seams your mother was not she was afraid when she saw you floating what about your father?
I dont remember much of him just when my mother kicked him out of the house.

With this Twack slid the key card into the slot and opened the door and on the other side was a big empty room
Twack was greeted by a high-pitched scream.
God, whats up whit girls screaming at me today? Twack asked himself
Looking up he saw a girl she and bright green eyes and dirty blond hair standing on a platform high above the ground. The moment Twack saw her he was suddenly happy again. It was Amber. Then looking closer he saw she had a rope around her waist and a large demon was standing behind her. She screamed again and the demon pushed her off the ledge of the plat form were she hung from the rope around her waist
AMBER Twack shouted
HELP ME ADAM, Amber shouted back get me down I hate heights
Hold on ill be right up with this Twack jumped in to the air and started to fly but a warm hand grabbed his ankle and held him there. Looking back Twack saw a demon holding his ankle.
WHAT THE [beep] IS THAT? Twack shouted.
I dont know! I woke up here. Its scary up here Adam, get me down!
The demon holding on to Twacks ankle yanked him back onto the ground. Quickly turning Twack put his hand in the face of the demon. The demon pulled harder on Twacks ankle but he didnt move. This shocked the demon.
Theres no gravity here, Twack said to the demon you mess with her he said while pointing to Amber and I mess you up! Got that? he threatened the demon.
Then Twack grabbed the demons wrist. a primal scream of pain left the demons fanged mouth. Twack had crushed the demons hand by increasing the gravity under his own hand. Twack then yanked the demon up over his head. Its broken hand letting go it flew out of the antigravity field and flew into a near by wall.
Taking flight again Twack headed toward Amber. When he reached her he said
Im going to remove the gravity around you so you dont fall when I untie the rope around your waist. Twack said in a comforting tone You ok with that? He asked
How the hell are you going to do that? she asked
Well to be honest I dont know. But when I do just try and stay still so you dont fall
Okay, just hurry up I want to go home
Reaching out to her Twack remove the gravity around her. He untied the knot and pulled her out of the antigravity field. Dropping slightly form the extra weight he glided down to the ground. Setting her down she hugged him tight then said
This probably sounds cheesy she said but youre my hero this time she spoke in a much deeper voice.
Looking at Twack she grinned evilly and then transformed into a demon much bigger then the one Twack just made a blood spot out of. Grabbing him it said AND WHAT A PUNY LITTE HERO YOU ARE
HOLY [beep] Amber, what happened to you? OH
God
not this again
Come on AMBER FIGHT IT! Twack screamed
IM NOT AMBER YOU FOOL SO STAND AND FIGHT ME! boomed the demons voice. The demon slammed Twack into the ground and braced its self. Twack struck by shock just fell back over on to his butt.
STAND AND FIGHT I SAID. IM NOT MERCIFUL LIKE MY MINIONS I WILL KILL YOU SITING DOWN! The demon shouted at Twack
Amber I know you in there just fight it I know you can

said Twack
IVE TOLD YOU I AM AMBER NO MORE SO STAND AND FIGHT ME
A sudden realization dawned on Twack. If this was still Amber, I need to help her fight the demon controlling her body. Standing up Twack said
Im sorry Amber Im so so sorry
Twack launched up into the air away from the demon. Deciding what to do to help free Amber while in the air was the best idea to Twack. That is until the Demon jumped up and grew wings and flew right for Twack. Diving out of the way Twack said
God Damn it Amber you couldnt do that before. What the hell happened to you?
Twack dove away from the demon again and again finally thinking of an idea, Twack stopped flying and put his hand out in front of the demon it dived and barrel rolled as if expecting a blast to come out of Twacks hand but instead the demon stopped in mid air and fell to the ground.
[Beep] I never thought that would happen Twack thought to him self while diving after the demon. Putting up his hand again he stopped the demon form falling about thirty feet above the ground
How dose it feel to be at my mercy demon? I hope your ready to leave Amber in one piece. Twack said in a Threatening tone
Well first off Im not at your mercy, said the demon Im at the gravities mercy and Im not going to leave Amber in one piece. So let me go and lets fight like real men
Im sorry did you just compare you self to me? asked Twack flying over to the demon and flipping him to face him then stepping on its chest cause were not the same. Never were never will be, so let me bet that into your brain for you
Raising his fist to the demon he tried to increase the air pressure around his fist and slammed it into the demons face. Feeling the demons skull brake under his fist Twack let go of his gravitation hold on the demon letting it crash into the ground
OM MY GOD WHAT DID I DO Twack shouted as he flew down to the demon, which was now transforming back into Amber. NO
OH GOD
NO PLEASE LET HER LIVE! He shouted to the ceiling
Felling a sudden burst of anger he stood up with thoughts of blowing this whole building up. Feeling the air pressure around him ripple the ground cracked and he looked up to the door. This reminded him that this was a test! He just killed Amber to become a stupid hero!
Who the hell is running this [beep] test? Twack asked YOUD BETTER GET OUT HERE NOW!

As Twack stepped through the training room door, he was met by a man in light brown robes. His eyes, like his hair, were glowing with a white light. At first glance he appeared to be an otherworldly old man, but after a closer look he seemed to be in his early 20's.
"Greetings Twack, I am the mage Harlvion Maximarus and I pleased to make your acquaintance. We apologize for putting you through such an ordeal, but believe me if you truly wish to become a hero you shall face much worse. I believe that your performance merits you a B, with your relative lack of experience with your own powers you were able to defend yourself quite admirably under the circumstances. Be that as it may, you allowed your temper to get the better of you and in the process could have killed the one you sought to protect, killing is a method that shall never be condoned here remember that." he said raising his arms before him.
Just as he had done before he placed one hand on top of the other and again a small dust devil formed in his palm. When it disappeared a small object lay in his grasp and he motioned for him to come forward.
"This is the Anti-Grav Amplifier; it shall allow you to manipulate the Earth's magnetic field a bit easier especially in flight. It is designed to affix itself to most any surface so you are free to place it wherever you like on your person, just remember to keep it with you." Harlvion said handing him a small diamond like jewel.
Suddenly, he raised his head as if he had just heard something. After a moment or two of just staring of into space he turned his attention back to the young man before him.
"Your fellow teammates are currently on assignment, however at your experience level I am not certain if it is wise for you to join them. However, it does appear that another of the group has just returned from elsewhere in the city and, if she is willing, I will allow her to escort you. Be forewarned, you shall be entering the depths of the Hell and the demons you face shall not be simulated. Stay on your guard." he said, his pupiless eyes seeming to stare right through Twack.
What the hell are you talking about? Youre trying to justify my sisters death. Look I just killed my own sister just to pass your god damn test and now your telling me to go to hell and help some idiots, that I dont even know! You have to be on dyne or something! Twack shouted
If you must know what you were fighting was a simulation. You never killed youre sister and the reason you have to fight with your fellow heroes is because its your heroic duty. No if you dont mind waiting your potential escort will be here soon
IM NOT GOING ANY WHERE TILL YOU PROVE TO ME THAT MY SISTER IS OK, YOU [censored]! Twack said rising his hand to strike Harlvion. I MEAN IT! WITH THIS LITTLE JEWEL THING IM SUPPOSED TO BE STRONGER, NO? WELL YOU HAVE ALL OF TEN SECONDS TO PROVE TO ME SHES OK OR I WILL KILL YOU! ILL KILL YOU SLOWLY SO THAT MAYBE YOU FEAL AT LEAST AN OUNCE OF HOW I FEEL RIGHT NOW!
At this time Twack had started to bring his hand down to hit Harlvion when he heard a familiar voiceNO ADAM DONT HURT HIM PLESE JUST LET HIM GO! it was Amber

Twack spun around and saw his sister staring at him with a look of horror upon her face. Slowly walking to her Twack reached out to her then slumped to the floor. Slowly he started to shake and then he cried

Adam its ok Im right here. Nothing happened to me I just followed you from home, she said, after I heard mom scream I woke up. I ran down to you room and saw you break youre window and fly away. I ran out of the door to follow you and I meet up with a man who said he knew where you went and he took me here. Its all ok nothing happened its all just a simulation, Amber said to Twack its all going to be fine

Harlvion looked at the young siblings before him and a slight smile crossed his lips. It always warmed his heart to see humans expressing their emotions for one another.
"Irregular for us to permit one without an invitation onto the premises, however we could not allow her to wander the city streets unescorted so I brought her here. I am certain Energyst will not mind, however the young lady will have to remain here while you complete your mission. Do not worry, a room will be prepared for her and I shall watch over her until your return." he said with no hint of malice towards Twack for his emotional outburst.
Suddenly, something caught his eye and, unbeknownst to the pair, he began to look at Amber a little more intently. There was something about her that he couldn't quite put his finger on.
"Perhaps this girl has some part to play not yet revealed. Fate works in mysterious ways, he thought, his unblinking eyes watching over siblings.

"Oh hell no! Amber said, "I'm going with him and your not stopping me. Im the older one and am responsible for him. I have powers also and just because you didn't send me an invite doesnt mean Im not important"
Pulling a seed out of her pocket she clenched her fist. A bright blue-white light came out of the gaps in between her fingers. Slowly she slightly opened her fist and a bramble bush grew around her semi-closed fist. Then she pulled a rose out of her pocket and transformed it the same way as before in to a thorny sword.
I know how to accelerate plant growth. And I can also heal wounds, said amber and I know why I can do this. My father was a super powered human. He didnt tell my mother and when she found out she kicked him and our older brother Tomas out of the house. They were kicked out when I was five and Adam was three. She never told us why she kicked them out so I found out for Adam and my sake.
Our fathers super hero name was Frost Hunter. His powers were that he could grow spines out of his body. Though that slightly explains my powers but Adams are a mystery. And Tomas became a villain he tortured us with these little thorns he would make out of his fingers.
Concentrating on the rose-sword and the bramble bush around her hand she turned them back to there original forms.
I would like to accompany my brother to protect him. I will take that stupid test you put him through. And mind I have never failed let alone got less then a B on any test and I plan to do the same with this one.
Twack taped Amber on her shoulder and whispered to her I saw you as a demon in there just like in my dream you tired to kill me and I fought back getting cocky

Harlvion's demeanor remained unchanged throughout Amber's emotional outburst. He merely listened to what she had to say without interrupting. Knowing that Egghead was very thorough in his research, he found it odd that he would have overlooked Twack's sister.
"Very well, I shall allow you to proceed with one of our tests. Let me see if I can find something for you. Hmm, this is rather curious. It seems there is already a program on file with your name attached to it. If you will step into Training Room 3 over there the program will commence shortly. I wish you good luck." he said sincerely as he motioned towards the training room door.
Harlvion smiled as Sartain walked into the staging area and directly up to the portal. She didn't even acknowledge the presence of pair of siblings in the room, but merely stared into the abyss.
"So, what the hell am I supposed to do with this?"
He grinned. The two of them hadn't known each other long, but he was good at reading people and understood her no nonsense attitude. He found it was a common trait of those who served in combat.
"Ah Ms. Sartain, I am glad you are here. We have two new recruits and I would like you to escort them through the portal. Unlike you and most of the others they have not had much experience with actual hero work, but their powers should at least prove useful. I would understand if you are, shall we say hesitant, to undertake such a duty but I believe they deserve a chance to prove themselves. You agree do you not?" he said giving her his warmest smile.
"Children?" She allowed her disbelief to come through her words. "You want children to go into a fight?"
"I believe they would argue against being called "children", but I understand your meaning. However young they may be they are old enough to make decisions for themselves and I have given them the option of remaining here to wait for the others to return, but they wish to assist the team in accomplishing their mission. Now that you have arrived I must admit I am much more comfortable with the idea." Harlvion said his cheerful demeanor never wavering.

Standing up amber tapped Ma on the shoulder and said"Excuse us miss we were hoping to go and help. Its not like were weak or any thing. I have a master of plants and my brother here can alter gravity. If our age is of you concern then please believe me when I say were act older then where are
Amber reached down and pulled Twack to his feet, a look of shock still on his face. He looked at Amber and said
Amber why didnt you tell me you had powers? What is with the secrets?
What? You kept your secrets from me! Why didnt you tell you had powers?! there arguing had stopped them from paying attention to Ma when she interrupted
If you to stop bickering we can talk about this she shouted over them. Amber and Twack suddenly stopped fighting and looked at Ma again waiting for her to speak
Ma's look of doubt went straight to the mage.
"Are you asking me or telling me?" Her body language gave little away, and her eyes were solid yellow, no hint there either.
Harlvion's smile never left him as he stared back at Sartain.
"I am merely asking, I always offer a choice. I have given them a choice as well and they have made their decision, I shall not impede them in crossing over. However, it would put my mind at ease to know that a more experienced member of the team was accompanying them into the Nether realm. The decision, of course, is yours to make." he said his expression and posture never changing for a moment.
Turning back to the siblings, he held up his hands once more and yet again a small dust devil appeared. As it dissipated he beckoned Amber to come forward.
"I sense a dark force growing beyond the vortex, so I shall allow you to forego your test until your return. Take this, the Amulet of Artemis, it was to be your gift for its' successful completion, but for now let its' power aide you in your quest. I wish you both good luck." Harlvion said stealing a quick glance back at Sartain.
