As I protect the streets around me, laugh with my friends, and look longingly towards the future for a time when perhaps those around me will fully realise what I am, this lesson from the Great Lady resounds once more.
So many have lost contact with the powers of creation, no longer do people realise the true power of their faith.
Lady Pasht, let them hear!
~ The Waters ~
In the beginning there was not firmament nor terra, and nothing existed except a boundless primeval mass of water which was shrouded in darkness and which contained within itself the potential for all that which was to come.
The primeval spirit which formed an essential part of the primeval matter felt within itself the desire to begin the work of creation, and with its thoughts woke form the world.
The first act of creation began with the formation of an egg out of the primeval water, from which broke forth the first vessel of creation. The almighty power of the source embodied itself in its most brilliant form, this vessel.
When the inert mass of primeval matter felt the desire of the primeval spirit to begin the work of creation, it began to move, and those things, which were to constitute the future world, were formed according to the divine intelligence of the source.
Under in influence of that form of the divine intelligence which created the world by a thought, eight elements, four male and four female, arose out of the primeval waters, the "Eight", and they were considered as primeval fathers and mothers of all thought.
The light of all this gave birth to itself out of the chaos, the waters and chaos were together as one, the conception of the future world was depicted in the source, in its divine intelligence; when the source gave its word what it commanded at once took place by means of the separate element, the visible representative of the power which turned the sources thought into deed.
The egg of all to be was placed to the sky; creation would always abound in this place the source's thought had given shape to.
The eight elements surveyed the world around them and became prostrate under the eye of the source, their spirits wept in thankfulness, though they were grieved by feelings of iniquity. One of the elements, she connected to the primeval waters, spoke lovingly to her brethren beseeching them to stand with her and give a token of their gratitude to the source. Her passion gave fruit to the first finished shell of protection, together they brought her shape.
She offered this shape to the source; it saw the shape and approved but spoke to the spirits of the elements. The source, though it pained them much was to retreat now, and leave them to their thoughts. With these thoughts the Eight would bring shape to the world.
Rise like the Eight from the thoughts of the source.
Hail thee lady Pasht and your brethren, weighers of body and mind in balance. I ascribe praise to the source. I adore this presence beautiful in all things though the path is hidden in darkness.
