The winds of change always move the world. It is always around us. It shapes us. It controls us in the most subtle and yet most obvious ways. We think we have control of our fates, but we dont. None of us do. We all sit and watch as our lives are pushed forward.
And these winds are a typhoon in Paragon City, dragging fate into its grasp.
Hell, thats how I got here. These winds changed me, molded me into the man I am today Well not really a man per say, but still it molded me. You see these winds touched me as soon as I was born. I am a mutant.
Now dont be afraid. Not all of us mutants are like the Outcasts. Actually most of us are good, hard working people just wanting to get by. I mean we are still human beings, and not all of us are powerful enough to be heroes.
But I am one of those powerful ones. Have been since the powers first began to develop when I was so young I think the winds began to shape me when I was in grammar school.
I would wonder the forest above my parents home. Nature seemed to call to me every waking moment. I felt I belonged out there among the trees, animals, and floral. I have always had a fascination with nature and the animals that dwell there.
My favorite was the wolf. Its honor, its strength, its resourcefulness, its loyalty. I love the wolf. It was as if it is a mirror to my soul.
Maybe that was why it wasnt surprising when I was 14 that the winds would call out my true power. I grew claws. Yup, thats right, claws. Not only that, but it seemed like any wound was just a scratch to me. It was a rather disturbing sight for my parents even more so for my school.
You see in Evergreen, being the small town that it is, mutants are really accepted. I was quickly kicked out of the school. Desperate my parents enrolled me into a private school in nearby Denver. It didnt go well. I was kicked out after just 3 weeks for skipping to many classes. I couldnt help it, I hate the city.
My parents decided to home school me. They wanted me to get an education no matter what. But it was harder than they though, and after a year or two gave up.
The wind returned, whispering into my parents ears to send me away. Send me to the eye of the hurricane. And they did.
