(OOC: Greetings. After the fiasco and then destruction of my old RP, Hero Academy, I decided a different approach was in order. Here, there will be no superpowered NPCs that aren't enemies, as I have a tendency to make it so that they are so powerful, it offends people. Make your own character as powerful and unfair as you like, I'll just write in something tougher. This thread is about a mercanary hero organization. They take personal cases for money, along with the usual crime fighting. They don't do anything illegal, though. Express any feeling/thought you want, but if it's offensive, you will be flamed. A lot. In fact, it's mandatory to flame people that make offensive comments . There are no set parameters under which you must design your character. Just PM me a brief dossier, feel free to leave out some of the darker secrets. You may start posting as soon as you read the intro to the offices. Villains will be insanely powerful, but have one big, glaring weakness, BTW. Here we go.)
In central Steel Canyon, west of Blyde Square, there's an office building that houses one of Paragon City's stranger businesses: mercanary heroes. They fight crime for free, but will also take any personal case, as long as it's legal. The five best caseworkers are probably the strangest of the strange anyway.
Briar-Magic Blaster: Powers: energy blast, energy manipulation, force mastery, medicine, teleport, hover.
History: Used to be a Circle of Thorns mage, until he found out about the human sacrifices. Turned on the Circle during a big ritual and ran off. Turned himself in for his crimes, but got sent to train with the mage, Ajax.
Physical Description: Cloak w/ hood, shirt and back of cloak have magic runes on them, all black, magic symbols are red. eyes glow green. White-colored energy contantly surrounds his fists, and his eyes emit green trails. Medium build.
The Detective-Mutant Controller: Powers: gravity control, force fields, flight, psionics mastery.
History: A P.I. from L.A., he got transformed by the Lost's mutagen on his first day in Paragon City, while on a case. Was given telekinetic powers.
Physical Description: Tall and thin, with brown suit and tie, white undershirt, brown fedora, black shoes and hair, and glowing red eyes. Has fleur de lis over left breast, and is surrounded by visible psychic energy.
Knuckles-natural tanker: Powers: invulnerability, super strength, fitness, energy mastery.
History: Once worked for the Boston Mafia, but left when he saw that on top of the gambling, booze, smoking, and strippers, his family also killed when they needed to. His family supports his decision, and sends him "care packages" now and then. He's able to wade through large groups of enemies and lay them flat on their backs without taking much damage. He's even learned how to bounce light off of his sunglasses, turning it into laser beams.
Physical description: Very tall, very wide, but not gigantic. Wears gray suit and tie, white undershirt, mirrored sunglasses, and brown shoes. Has brown hair, slicked back into neo-mafioso ponytail, and has an unlit cigar in his mouth at all times, because he thinks it looks cool. He even paints the tips flourescent red, so it looks lit.
The Contaminant-science defender: Powers: Radiation emission/ blast, combat jumping and super jump, hurdle, stealth, electricity mastery and stimulant.
History: Used to work as a Crey scientist, until he found an illegal project to develop superpower-bestowing radiation. Countess Crey had it tested on him. He got the power to emit radiation, but not to control it. So, he stole a harnessing suit designed to go with the radiation, and a pair of Crey science goggles, to focus radiation into eyebeams. The harnessing suit not only allows him to shape his radiation, but use it to power special functions, like jump jets, a minor cloaking device, a status resistance beam, and electricity generators.
Physical Description: Medium build, long, wild, white hair caused by radiation. Suit is Radiation green (two shades), with black in places where green wouldn't look good. Gloves and boots have a fin. Has smooth shoulder pads. Consantly emits a radioactive cloud from all over his body. Goggles' lens was turned green by radiation. Has Atom symbol on chest.
Haywire/Tim Blake-Tech scrapper: powers: claws, regeneration, concealment, weapon mastery.
History: Tim Blake was a mild-mannered etc., when a defeated clockwork prince fell on him. The gears formed around and into Tim, making him into a clockwork cyborg. The CPU of the prince was still intact, and is inside of Tim's head, linked to his brain. The prince is called Haywire, and when he rebooted after integrating with Tim, he went insane, becoming homicidal, but indiscriminate. Since Haywire didn't care who he hurt, as long as he hurt someone, Tim took the ex-prince's name and became the first insane superhero.
Physical description: Tall, medium width, with tall, spiky, blonde hair. Torso and legs encased in what looks like scrap metal. Human arms are crammed in with the torso, and replaced by skeletal, robotic arms on the outside. Robot arms can move out of the way and allow human arms to come out. Metal plate over right eye, that eye glows green, the left one is normal. Sparks occaisionally fly from Haywire's joints.
Those are the founders, and best in the way of getting jobs, but they're certainly not the only people there. There's plenty of employees. This story involves them, as well as these five.
(OOC: I think psionic mastery is the controller one, if not, then just remeber, it's the controller psy mastery, not the defender type. Also, those are good examples of what your dossiers should look like. if you have the whole powerset, name the set, if not, name the specific powers. These characters are mine from the game, with a few more powers than allowed, but that's allowed in this RP. If you'd like to meet them, I'll be on as the Detective most evenings on Protector server. )
