The Mechanically Optimized Neighborhood Knight, or MONK, is a self-sufficient automaton featuring an AI capable of displaying and responding to human emotion, as well as independently learning from previous experience.
"I think of Monk as my son. He is the culmination of my life's work and is very eager to patrol the streets with the many great heroes of Paragon City," said Dr. Jackson Furikake, project MONK lead and new father. "Our greatest dream would be to see him invited to join a supergroup and be accepted by people as another citizen of Paragon City."
MONK features a state-of-the-art, defensive and offensive compliment of radiological cellular stimulants and focused energy beam capabilities, respectively. Powered by a rechargable, fusion-based power cell, MONK is capable of reliably functioning 75 years between charges.
Although incapable of human speech, MONK supports simple communication through a high-resolution diagnostics display, with a blue LED backlight to give clear visibility in daylight as well as low-light conditions.
Mechanika Corporation has applied its legendary human interaction engineering to make MONK the most intuitive and community-friendly incident response automaton ever. Highly prominent is the Boy Scout Chip (patents pending), which promises to prevent any potential logic malfunctions.
Under secret development since 1995, project MONK is slated to begin field testing in Paragon City this week. During this testing phase, Mechanika Corporation welcomes your feedback.
