In case you haven't found out how yet, the 'X' key will lower your altitude while flying (regardless of the source of your flight).

Do you mean extra power trays? Right click part of the tray that doesn't have a button on it and you should get a popup menu. Click Close Tray.
You get these extra trays by clicking the "+" sign on your original power trays, underneath your inspirations, to the left of "Recipes". -
I'm new to the game but somehow on accident I clicked a button on my keyboard and it made extra boxes of my power buttons on my screen. Their now up in my upper left corner and it's annoying. Does anybody know how to close them? Please
