I'm glad you guys like it. I was having some doubts about the effects. I'm still trying to figure out some of the effects and filters in photoshop so I wasn't too sure if it turned the pic cheesy or something.

The man in the intricate suit of finely detailed armor is Xertul. The few who managed to get close to him swear the suit is forged of precious metals by the extinct master craftsmen of the past. A wise man would have sold the suit a long time ago for legitimate money and lived the rest of his life in honest luxury. Silent and aloof, Xertul is in no hurry to let the world in on the secret of why he chose to forsake a life of comfort in order to champion some malevolent cause he seem to be driven by.

Out of place on the dreary Rogue Isles in his flamboyant armor, Xertul is the target of countless rumors and gossips. No matter how battered and abused the armor get when he walk away from a fight, it is always new and polished the next time you see him. Is he a bored scion to some ancient and vast fortune? A bored youth living out his bad boy fantasies knowing he will have to succumb to his eventual role as an heir to some captain of industry?

Perhaps he is a fallen paladin tragically turned away from the light; now and forever a servant to some dark and powerful force. No one knows who he is and why he does the things he do. There are only rumors and gossips surrounding Xertul and that is the way he likes it.

Illusion based Kid Kestral probably had a rather lonely childhood. When you have the power to bring imagination to life, reality can seem like a drag sometimes. Withdrawn and seemingly off in her own world, the other children have the tendencies of wanting to bring her back to reality through ridicule and ostracism.

The only friend she ever really had is her imaginary panda. Not really all there, but real enough to keep her grounded enough to help her think of ways out of troubles it helped to get her into in the first place.

I hope she blossoms into a fine hero one day.

I see Shuyak as a hero with a dark past. Nowadays he fights the baddies from afar and then hold them in a block of ice for the cops to find. However, when the baddies positivalutely must get up close and personal. He'll show them who he used to be. Frostclaw, the deadly assassin who's icicle claws leave no evidence on their victims except for the curious puddle right next to their body.

(Sorry, I have a tendency to daydream as I draw. )

I am most likely going to do it for all the characters I draw.

I'll also rotate between drawing a boy character and a girl character. Sorry, Xertul, your character looks great but I'll do a girl character for Phoenix then you. I hope that's ok with everyone.
