The new crew is setting up on site in Steel Canyon, the high rise buildings in the immediate area show signs of the battle that just passed. Shattered and/or melted glass police officers at hauling off the fallen villain Starburst. His golden power suit, battered and broken, left behind for another division to clean up and dispose of. The man trapped within the machine, Proteon H4-R, is preparing for his televised interview, very begrudgingly. The enigmatic enhanced GR3 is conjuring up an artificial rain cloud to water the battered flowers in front of the skyscrapper while at the same time pruning a rose bush beside the door. Spectral Doctor, the resident PHD in the dead and dieing is assisting medics by phasing through the rubble to find the injured so that he won't have to take them to the other side. Asriel rests on top of the door way to the building purring uncaringly, twitching in her sleep. The others Oxide, Targeted, and Medicine woman have all retired after the long battle. The reporter begins to film and moves in on Proteon.
"Hello, this is Trisha Williamson here with the founder and -"
"cofounder" Proteon interupts.
"...The cofounder and leader of the Heroes for Hire. Paragons newest hero team making a splash on the heroe scene. As you can see behind me the Heroes have just assisted in the incarceration of the villian Starburst, anything to say about this battle Proteon."
"Nope."
"Uhm..Right, well aparently someone as mediocre as Starburst is no match for a well trained team such as yours."
Silence
"So why bother boring the masses with it! Proteon, it's rumored that you're to receive a medal from Paragons pride Statesman. How excited are you to meet the super heroes hero?"
"Heroes hero? The only thing that relic does is hand out badges and tell fish stories about battles that never happened in lands that are too far away and too small for anyone to care about." he states unflincingly with his arms crossing his chest.
"Well-"
"Well nothing," Prot intterupts again "Name the last time he saved a run away train, or people in a burning building. I may be paid for my service, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter if what I see is an old woman being held up by a thug with a bat or an evil genius with a death ray, I'll always step in and save her. And if states has a problem with anything I've said he knows how to find me, I'll be doing his job."
Proteon walks off, the other members of the team, long since done with their own tasks were waiting and follow without word turning their backs to the camera.
