Shoot some ideas, and remember to keep it realistic.

Personally, I agree about those who have had it for a long time. I bought CoH about two weeks ago, played for a couple days, realized I needed CoV to get the full package (bases, etc), so I went and bought CoV. Now a week or so after buying the second half of the game, they announce that you only need to buy one to get both.

What we don't know is pricing on the new "combo-COH". Will the new retail version cost the same as CoH/CoV cost individually before, or will it cost as much as CoH+CoV?

If I were to choose some form of "compensation", I would say, put the difference in prices between old and new towards my game account subscription. And if they are feeling generous, give some influence to those who have had both versions for a longer period of time. This way the company keeps the money I've paid them, I feel good about getting something for the change in price and long time players don't feel left out.

For those of you saying this is a stupid complaint or request, look at what happened with the IPhone. Apple dropped the price by 200$ about two months after release. They refunded the difference to those who had just bought it (within 2 weeks IIRC) and gave a 100$ credit to their store to those who had purchased it for a longer period of time.

All players with City of Heroes retail* accounts will now have access to City of Villains, and all City of Villains retail* accounts will now have access to City of Heroes. Players that didn't previously have access to "the other side" will find that they do now. Just log in to check it out!

So I just bought both versions of the game...does this mean that I wasted my money and if I had waited a week, I could have paid half as much?

    Fabulous!
