hell i can run a paper mission and get better rewards then that

    [/ QUOTE ]

Then do so.... solution to the "problem"?
  2. If I have to explain why Arcanaville is excellent at crunching data and testing, when SHE showed the devs problems that they never even knew existed so many times in the past.... well, I don't think there's anything else I can say to prove it to you. Go read some of her guides, if you're so inclined.

    Here's a start.
  3. Wow Gear_Freak, how did you EVER play this game before IOs and the market existed?

You do realize that you can still play the game just fine with SOs and less, right? IOs are an optional feature that can be completely ignored, as can the market.

Sounds like the people that are getting all excited over imaginary "stuff" need the oxygen more than I do... they seem to be hyperventilating.

Not sure what the big deal is about this; characters will just be playing in Praetorian zones with different story arcs, right? New content is nice, I suppose, though.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The big deal is now both sides will have access to ALL ATs, and it won't be just in the Praetorian zones. Heroes who go rogue will have access to the Rogue Isles, and Villains who are redeemed will have access to Paragon City. It has ramifications for putting together team throughout the game.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually we don't know that. We know that we'll be able to switch sides, but NO idea what that will entail.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We do know that, from the Press Release, from the email, and from Posi's interview:

    [ QUOTE ]
City of Heroes Going Rogue officially opens the "mirror universe" of Praetoria and an all-new alignment system that explores the shades of gray that lie between Heroes and Villains. For the first time, Hero characters can become Villains and vice versa, enabling Heroes to cross over to the Rogue Isles™ and Villains to experience Paragon City™.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Emphasis mine. It's the whole reason I started this thread!

    [/ QUOTE ]

But is your fallen hero in the Praetorian Rogue Isles only?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wait... there's no such thing as the Paretorian Rogue Isles... only Praetoria, which will be co-op. So:

    Heroes: Paragon City + Praetoria
    Villains: Rogue Isles + Praetoria
Fallen Heroes: Rogue Isles + Praetoria
Redeemed Villains: Paragon City + Praetoria

Bear in mind you can switch sides multiple times, and the survey leaked last year seemed to indicate that you could play a "double agent" role while on the opposite side if you wanted. This last part has not been confirmed, however.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually, at this point, it's all theory. Unless it's been SPECIFICALLY announced, jumping the gun on how things will or will not work is very premature.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We know for a fact that Heroes will be able to play in the Rogue Isles by changing alignment, and vice versa with the villains. Also, Praetoria is clearly referenced as a new zone (or set of zones).

The part about only being able to change alignment in Praetoria is an extrapolation, however.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We know that heroes will be able to visit a version of the rogue isles. Will they be able to go there and take missions like other villains, or will the version of the Rogue Isles that heroes can visit be instanced and only accessible by others who have the "going rogue" edition. To what extent will heroes be able to visit the Rogue Isles? These are questions that are not answered. For all we know, side switching might be restricted to level 40+ and thus "fallen" heroes can only visit Grandville.

That's my point. It's WAY too early into our understanding of the new expansion to attempt to figure out its impact on the rest of the game. Hold the doooooom until we know something more definite.

Some of us play for other things, some of us like the feeling of crushing enemies,

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can't do that without tickets?

    [ QUOTE ]
SOME OF US actually want to be able to afford IO sets and such.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So... run normal missions to get your imaginary virtual "stuff"?

    [ QUOTE ]
I see you haven't even mentioned the overpowered ranged attack they added to MELEE PREFERENCE mobs yet, the ones that with three white cons will kill a lowbie if only two hit?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Interesting, I have a level 50 FF Defender and a level 5 Fire Blaster... neither of whom died from these ranged attacks or even got close to death...
  6. MUSICALS! I will have music from some of my favorite musicals, including Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray, Grease, and more!

And remember, I will always play your requests, as long as I can somehow get my hands on the song... I will play ANYTHING.
  7. I've never heard of bonus "end of mission" tickets matching tickets earned within the mission. But just because I've never heard of it doesn't mean it could not be true, but I'd like some outside verification of that.

Edit: Just looked it up on ParagonWiki and apparently that is the way that it's supposed to work... hmm..... we need to investigate this further.
  8. And me? I'm happily divorced so I'm unattached and I was raised a Navy brat, so I'm used to moving around all the time... HIRE ME!

Oh wait, that Qualifications thing.... well... crap.

I might as well try anyways, I was always told to try out for jobs that you want, even if you don't meet all the qualifications, so... here's hoping.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
    Not possible, unfortunately.

As I said, it was a very small map, two or three spawns, one glowy, and an ambush or two. Even on a very difficult setting I don't see anyway that the tickets granted from defeats could be more that 75 to 100, and even that's pushing it a bit.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Then this should be investigated and quantified. Let's get Arcanaville on it right away, seriously.
  10. No, what I'm saying is that you probably got "close" to 1500 with enemy defeats alone, so when you completed the mission, you got some of the mission bonus... an amount that would bring you up to 1500, but not all of the normal mission bonus.
  11. Oh they're there. I noticed them when I saw the movie in theaters.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
For instance, I did a mission on a small map. The ticket bonus on completion was 87, along with a messages saying (I paraphrase) one or more tickets had not been granted as the limit for that map had been reached.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The cap also includes enemy defeats...
  13. [ QUOTE ]
For those of us who like a good story the # of tickets you get means nothing so capping it does nothing for us.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You're wrong, it does do something for us. It makes all the people that are there only for "1337 r3w4rdz" leave MA so that we can actually run normal teams that will allow us to enjoy the story rather than rushing through everything in the fastest and "most efficient" way possible. You can see this already in this thread.

    Yay for reward nerfs!
  14. Says the guy that admitted in another thread to being a farmer...
  15. Yup, that's what I want to do.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
    bingo!

tip: you can level a character from 1-50 in MA

that tip needs to be removed as it encourages FARMING.

    [/ QUOTE ]

i was LOL to myself last night when that one popped up as i was zoning into a mission. Way to discourage MA abuses!

    [/ QUOTE ]

The tip doesn't say FAST, now does it? It just says that you can level up 1-50 in the MA, because of the infinite content. It has nothing to do with farming.
  17. You guys DO realize that it's per MISSION and not per ARC, right?

So a "short" one mission arc that gives exactly 1500 would be just as "efficicent" to farmers as a 5 mission arc where EACH mission gave 1500 tickets....
  18. I don't qualify for any of these... how can you get into the game industry if they're always looking for game industry experience????

I'd LOVE to be a QA tester for this game.
  19. I call it like I see it. And I see the tickets as being the frosting, NOT the cake.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
no its not. Just cause your a fanboi and the devs do no wrong doesnt really make ppls arguments less valid.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You must have missed the post where I said that the MA was disappointing because you can't manually place spawns. I got crucified. I'm not a "fanboi".
  21. It's a valid hypothetical question, considering that there used to be farms that were almost identical to the question.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
When I put in the work, I expect to get something in return

    [/ QUOTE ]

When you start calling your gaming time "work", I think it's time to start looking at your priorities.
