Quote:F is for facepalm. Actually, scratch that, this post deserves ALL the options below. That's a first!I don't know, when people start trying to call the language "American" and not "English" I get pretty annoyed. Whether its a forumite or Valve on Half Life 2. Just because a few letters are changed does not mean the creation of a whole new language.
This whole topic is stupid, only created by some annoying person desperately trying to make a name for themself and cause some drama.
Evolution of language is a very interesting subject, but not from the perspective or intent of this thread. -
Final note before I head to bed. This is also the reason why I run my own teams now. If someone, ANYONE on my team tried to aggro a whole room at once with the chance to get my team killed, they'd have about 5 seconds to give a good explanation before I decided to kick them.
I don't care if herding a whole room is worth "max eXPeez efficiency", my team's health is #1 priority. Always. I HATE team wipes. -
The truth is that Turbo is right about one thing, we don't KNOW exactly what took place there, all we have is the OP's word.
What I DO know is that Force Bubble is just as good a damage mitigating power as the rest but requires experience to know when and where to use it. I also know that there are times and situations where the bubbles do fail, (Rularuu are one example) and that's what the rest of the tools are for.
Since I always have Repulsion Field on for my own protection as soon as I get it, then in the situation mentioned, I would have Detained the "big bad", turned on Force Bubble and Force Bolted as many targets as possible, PFFing when the heat got too great.
But this is talking about facing a total team wipe and trying to save the team to regroup. And that is a rare situation if you're playing your FFer properly, though it DOES happen. -
You're making an assumption just like the responders to the OP did. You're just assuming the opposite. While I'm merely talking about the application of the powers themselves in my adventures.
-
To draw aggro from the rest of the team and onto myself. It's not ALL about range, only part.
-
Another fun fact: When the tank can't hold aggro, Force Bubble does more than just repel. It also draws at least some attention if not most to you and away from your ailing allies, giving them time to recover. Enemies don't like being pushed around.
Then when the heat is too much on you, PFF to save your own butt and they can take over again. -
Threads like this are the reason I run my own teams nowadays...
...and ignore Turbo_Ski. -
Took my Fire/Regen scrapper from 37 to 45. I would have been able to go farther, but this weekend I had to clean up my place for a business trip starting tomorrow morning.
Oh, and I had my radio show to DJ of course. That took up 4 hours of my time. Time well spent though. -
Ah, Rove, such a distinguished gentleman....

I had a Bengali friend in college, who was raised in a high class British education system. He'd never heard of muffins before, he called everything biscuits.
I had to explain to him that Americans called "sweet biscuits" muffins. He was also shocked when it rained for the first time, as he's never felt COLD rain in his life.
He also explained to me that in Bangladesh fall and autumn were two separate seasons..... something having to do with the rains...
Ah, memories. -
That's what the little downward pointing triangle is for, to take you to the first unread post.

Like the Attention-hounds, the gibberish-talkers, the post-count padders, the trolls, and the nice & helpful posters. -

I'm trying to make up my mind whether or not I'll bother with negative rep, because I figure that trolls probably want negative rep,and I feel like giving it to them would actually be encouraging them. -
Shouldn't that be the other way around, where people with great POSITIVE rep can strongly affect your score and people with great NEGATIVE rep have no impact at all?
At least that's the way I'd do it if I was designing it. -
Option C for you!

Having already received an angry e-mail from someone in this situation, I'm pretty sure the lower numbers are the result of this being a Double XP weekend that is also NOT a "reactivation weekend".
Truth lies here. -
That's no problem, because there's plenty of people around here that'll think outside the box for you!
Besides, why would you want to go outside the box, it's cozy and there's a warm blankey in there! -
Quote:When I saw the title of this thread I assumed it was something to do with customising defensive powers in I16.
I didn't notice the bad spelling until afterward
This just makes me wonder about the 8th.
This is the actual 8th one, and I quote:
"Die I shall make it to the top of rep!"
So, yeah, the 8th man was sometime trying to "knock me down" so that he/she could be "raised up" in the Rep scale by comparison.
I find it pretty funny. I personally won't be turning off my Rep score no matter where it goes.
Mostly because I'm an attention w***e, but partly because I'm just curious. -
Brit fight Brit fight!
*runs outside*
*runs into local supermarket and grabs the microphone*
Ladies and gentlemen, in the other thread we have Brit fight!
On another note, yeah I'm only serious about 10% of the time, and it's pretty obvious when I AM serious, because I don't use any smilies. If you see a smilie, of ANY type, I'm probably not being serious.
I also find it curious the amount of people that don't get my "humor". 7 out of the 8 bad reps I've gotten so far were from people that obviously took one of my joke posts seriously. It's kinda sad, really.
Cause everyone knows forum posting IS SRS BZNS!!!!!!!!
U C wut I did thar?
