Quote:Well of COURSE you do, because I'm always right. Duh...
oh and I do agree strongly with your #1 and #4 -
Quote:But I AM a complete jerk to people all the time, AND a smart *** to them all the time, yet they kept voting for me. They just keep on loving me no matter how I treat them.
if you don't think you should be #1 then just be a jerk all the time
I'm like Bill Clinton or something.
Hell, even my signature image is me being a jerk and a smart ***. -
Whoever added the tag "pk wants attention" and added to my rep the comment "Kinda being an attention w***e?" all I have to say is this....
.... obvious truth is obvious. I mean, DUH. -

Quote:I got bad rep without a comment
I would have loved to have read the comment. Where's the fun in having pissed people off if you don't even know why?
Truth. I just hate Rep good or bad, without comments. I like to know the WHYs of everything. Really pissed my mom off when I was a kid, I was that one kid that would question everything. She was probably crying at my H.S. graduation because she knew I'd be going off to college and wouldn't be around to ask so many damned questions. -
*bounces up and down* LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!
Now that we got that out of the way...
I'm Turning My Rep Off. Why would I do that when I'm "#1" in the "rankings"? A couple reasons:
- I should not be #1. Hell, I shouldn't be in the top ten if you ask me.
- ????
- PROFIT!
- I should not be #1.
- No player is above or below any other, to be honest, this game and these boards are a hobby, and as soon as you try to put in any sort of "class" or ranking system to place some above others, it disrupts the COMMUNITY. We are here by our choice, to have FUN. In MY not so humble opinion, once you're "competing" against others, it's no longer fun. This is why I don't PvP. I'd rather work WITH people than against them.
- I should not be #1.
- Steelclaw's lists are WAY more entertaining.
- Now my hero Dark_Respite (or as I call her, Samuraiko Female Samurai) is #1 as I think she should be.
- UniqueDragon is now #2, as he should be.
- I should not be #1.
- I've already seen "add to my rep" threads, and I think that's just sad. Anytime you create a "system", there will be people trying to "game" the system. Rep is only valid if it's EARNED. I think the existence of these threads and people actively requesting others to rate them up is LAME.
- The rep meter is just yet another griefing tool. That is, a method for griefing which TOOLS use.
- Steelclaw is now #3, as he should be.
- Hey, it's the first time in my life I can say I've ever gone out on TOP of something! That'll never happen again!
- Long pointless list is too long and too pointless.
- LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!

This thread just turned AWESOME!
*channels Austin Powers* It's filled with some groovy birds, man! -
AWww...... that wasn't what I expected. I was hoping to see some boobies...
-
*rushes into the thread*
Did someone say tit? -
In Mother Russia, forums merge YOU!

The amount of rep you can give to others (both negative and positive) is based on the rep that you have. A grey means that the person has either turned off THEIR rep, or the person has no rep at all, and so their rep counts for very little.
I could be wrong though, and it could just mean their rep is turned off, but I THINK it also applies for people with zero rep either way. -
Quote:What are you talking about? I'm talking about just saving the post in your Clipboard. If you copy it to your clipboard, it stays there until you copy something else...
That only works if the post goes after I'm done posting it, though. And believe me, I do that. But I already lost a few posts by accidentally squeezing the Back button on my mouse (accursed extra mouse buttons!) and I've lost more than a few posts by opening a new tab to, say, look at a dictionary, and then opening the dictionary in the same tab as I'm posting anyway, because I forgot to switch to the new tab. In those cases, I'm not anticipating I might lose my post, so I don't think to save it.
Quote:MS Paint has really crappy encoding and produces pictures of abominable quality. Trust me, I used to use it a lot If you want a better programme to save pics in, I'd suggest using IrfanView. It's cheap, light and unobtrusive, and it gives you great tools for both viewing pictures and doing some slight editing on them. Specifically, you can save things to different qualities of jpg, and I've found that you can get very decent quality for very low memory usage.

I just got this comment on a negative rep:
"KKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNN N NNNNNNNN"
Made me laugh SO HARD, I'm still recovering.
You people need to sign your funny rep comments, seriously. -
Oh, well then you fit right in with me and UD.

Quote:Yet strangely enough, I am sitting on top again, probably the most impolite, inbred, boring, and idiotic person I know.
when quite frankly there are hundreds of other forumites here who are far more polite, well-bred, interesting, and intelligent.
Apparently idiots rise to the top, because UniqueDragon is right up there with me, where he should be. But you certainly are NOT an idiots Samuraiko.
EDIT: because idiots is not censored, but the singular is for some reason? Huh? So multiple idiots are okay, but one is just BAD? That makes sense... -
Quote:I do in Microsoft Paint, which is all I have access to on my business computer on a work trip. I miss my home PC.
As a side note...you don't have to sacrifice that much image quality to make a small size gif file. -
Quote:Hey Sam, this is what the other poster was talking about, look below that search field and you'll see three FAQ links that should contain a TON of info about how these forums work:I tried that, but it gave me a search field. I don't know what to search for. It's like trying to find somebody in a crowd if you don't even know what he looks like. An index or table of context would be nice, but I wasn't able to find such.

Quote:It comes and goes for some reason. Sometimes it refreshed instantly when I hit the refresh a page. Sometimes doing the same thing minutes later actually TIMES OUT and I have to try again. It's really irritating.
Honestly I have not seen much slowness yet on my end. -
Quote:No, that's server side, and it's REALLY starting to tick me off, seriously.
Also, PK, any tips on making the forums faster? They're currently the display/posting version of the Positron TF. -
Quote:Simply put, since these new forums allow us to show images, I figure I'd be nice to those on slower connections and save all of my images as low-res GIF files. That way they can see the point of what I'm trying to say without having to wait forever to see it. Might want to think about doing that yourself.*edit*
Why do all of the pics you're linking to look like they're 256 or 16 colours or some such? -
Quote:As all your other questions were answered, I'll just answer this one. It's VERY simple and something that I've been doing ever since the old boards. After I'm done typing out my response, I ALWAYS always always right click the field, choose Select All from the menu, then right click again and choose Copy.
*Is there any way to prevent our posts from being discarded mid-typing if we back out of the posting page?
That way if the forum "eats" my post because of a timeout, all I have to do is open the reply box again, right click, hit Paste and BAM! Instant repost! I've done this for YEARS on these forums, and I recommend that everyone else does the same, as it only take a few seconds and a couple mouse clicks. Never lose a post again! -
Quote:No problem, glad you got some jollies from it. I don't think it means anything anyway. Noone really knows anyone behind that keyboard. Could be a baby killer for all anyone knows and have good rep on a game forum. It's meaningless. Me personaly, i'm not like I type on here behind this keyboard. I get along with everyone I meet. No enemys says something for the life I have lived behind this screen. Here I just don't give a darn. I'll never meet any of ya anyways. 99% sure of that. I pretty much make it a point to.
Just don't take what I type personal, cause it isnt.
Hmmm..... this post reminds me of something, I'm having trouble thinking of what though.... -
So, if there's no difference between the two and you like the Corrupter "attitude" and playstyle better...
...why are you on THIS board again?
Is it just entirely to down on Defenders? I'm going to have to go with Option E here and leave the thread. I thought when you first started here that you were better than this and I tried to keep a fair mind and actually be fair about you to others and even "stood up" for you a couple of times.
I guess I was wrong, good luck. -
Does anyone else have some tips? I was hoping that people could all share here and help each other.

That's a river in Egypt! I know my geography!
