    Thus, bubble herding "buffs" damage output.

    A Force Fielder DOES have a place on a nigh immortal Invincible team.

    The Force Fielders job is to use Knockback and Repel powers to condense mobs for more efficient AoEing, while maintaining Dispersion Bubble on any squishy teammates.

    Defenders have exactly TWO sets with good mob placement options: Storm Summoning and Force Fields.

    It might be ironic, but it's by design. The FF users teammates are better protected than they would be by almost any other set. So the FF user needs them to protect him.

    I'm not clear on what situations Kin has better damage mitigation...maybe you could explain that to me.
  6. I'm not understanding this at all. When I did the mission the EB is one of the mobs guarding the Mender. You cannot free the Mender without defeating the EB.

    Is my memory just playing tricks on me?

Together with the Mender get towards the meteor and try to first get rid of the minions. Then unload your wrath on the EB. Hardest part, in my opinion, was to destroy the meteor.

    You have to beat the EB to free the Mender. The Mender cannot help you defeat the EB.

    19.5 HP per second on a level 50 Blaster with capped HP is approximately equal to a small Green Inspiration every 15 seconds!

    Also, do you have results of your recharge calculations relating to elec/dev and Defiance?

    And hey, if you're using Mids now, would you mind posting your build with a Data Chunk? I'd really like to see how you got so much regen.

    Well, that certainly reflects my ingame testing...

    I suspect Mids is not properly calculating Regen based on it's percentage. It seems to be suggesting my ticks are happening in slightly over 4 seconds instead of slightly over 3 seconds, as your calculation and my ingame testing confirm.

    So, you're right: my HP/sec number was off, instead it's EVEN BETTER! XD

    Too bad I can't edit the OP anymore.
  12. I also came up with a Purple IO version of the build.

    This basically doesn't improve the build much at all at level 50, but is considerably better while exemping, or in Flashback.

    The Purple sets used are Apocalypse, Hecatomb, Ragnarok, and Armageddon. Only 4 pieces of each are used, except Armageddon, where I included the Chance for Fire Damage proc. It's possible that if I actually made the build I might do something else with that 5th slot, but without being able to actually test it I can't be sure.

    This build would probably cost well over 500 million influence.

  13. After some additional testing of this build I tweaked it a little bit.

    I removed the 5th slot in Teleport, and put it in Health as a 6th slot. Jaunt: Endurance gave me a +HP bonus that was already over the cap, and the extra Endurance turned out not to be necessary. This allowed me to slot Miracle: +Recovery, and I replaced the IO: Healing with Miracle: Heal. That slotting retains the full bonus to Health while also providing an additional 17.5% Recovery.

    Total Regeneration drops by 1% to 291%, but that doesn't meaningfully effect my actual Regen rate.

    I now am using this build on Live and it is much fun.

  15. I've confirmed my ingame Regen rate is almost exactly 80 HP approx. every 3 or 4 seconds.

    This fits with the data my Mids is showing me of 292% Regen on 1606 HP.

    Not sure where the difference is in our findings.

    I haven't tested my regen rate ingame, the numbers Im getting are what Mids tells me Im getting. I have all the +HP Accolades turned on, I have all my set bonuses programmed in, and I have Health, with its Numinas and Regenerative Tissue Globals turned on.

    It's conceivable that Mids is telling me wrong, but I suspect not.

    You are wrong about this. My regen bonus is 116% and I get 76hp every 4 sec which is about what you claim to get with 68%.

    Yeah, your mistake.

    You're only counting my Set Bonuses, not Base Regen OR any of my other Regeneration bonuses. I suspect you've left out something of your own Regen bonuses as well. If you're a Blaster and you have capped HP then to Regen at that rate you would need 292% as well.

    Base Regen is 100%. I get 68% JUST from Set Bonuses. Add to that 25% from the Regenerative Tissue +Regen, 20% from Numina's Convalescence +Regen/+Recovery, and 78.7% from the Health power.

    Regeneration functions as a percentage of your Total HP.

    With capped HP, 1606.3, I regenerate 19.5 HP per second, according to Mids.

    Regeneration works based on Ticks. You regenerate 5% of you total HP every Tick. Increasing your Regeneration increase the Rate of the Ticks, not the Percentage you get from them. Increasing your Total HP increases how many HP 5% of your Total is.

    Now as it turns out I could remove either the Jaunt: Range or Jaunt: Endurance and replace it with a Common IO, and I'd still have capped HP. It wouldn't look as pretty in the Enhancement Screen though. I might add in Titanium Coating: Resistance (or Aegis: Resistance) instead of a common Res IO for the same reason, even though the Set Bonus is just 2.2% Sleep Resistance (or 1.575% Fire/Cold Defense for Aegis), just cause it'd look prettier. Probably I'd go with Titanium Coating, since I have Sleep Res to stack that with, but no meaningful Defense to stack the Aegis bonus with, and because 2 and 2 would look prettier than 1 and 3. However, I'd need to respec again to put them next to each other, lol.


    In any case, look at your build again. It seems to me you are almost certainly leaving out Base Regen and Health from your Total Regen percentage.

  22. It cost a lot. Somewhere between 125 million and 200 million.

    However, all that money was stuff I had earned since i8.

    With the markets, a good level 50 lawnmower toon (I use a Spines/Regen), and some levelling up lowbies (for valuable low level stuff, now accesible to anyone through Flashback), it's not that tough to make 100 million in 2 or 3 months.

    I went from 100 million to broke, back up to 100 million, back down to broke, and now I'm back up to 40 million.
  23. Mids is giving you the defense when you aren't attacking.

    Stealth Defense drops in half when you attack.

    I've seen a friend using those Chance for Hold procs, they are well worth it.

    One thing you might consider, I chose not to use any Impervious Skin: Status Resistance, but if you're going to use one, you might think about getting an additional slot into Temp Invulnerability so you can have two.
