Not so bad when you have the right people on the right teams. As long as everyone (or at least enough) pays attention to the league chat, we'll be fine.
Plus I'm leading, so what do you have to worry about?
  2. Greetings, I wish to give my condolences on your sister's illness. I hope that she will be better with time, and you will have many more years to spend with her. I know you don't know who I am, however you are on Infinity, and as far as I'm concerned, you are considered family in one way or another. As are we all on this server, no matter where we hail, no matter where are origins lie, we all come together in City of Heroes where we unite and enjoy the good times. And as such, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always available on my global (@VillainTech) or on Skype. I wish the very best for you and your sister and that the good times will never end for the both of you.

Just remember, always live life to its fullest and only think about the good times, never the bad. City of Heroes, and Infinity, will always be a home for you to come to and where our family is always there for you as much as we can be. You and your sister will be in our hearts, whether it spans this life or another.

    With great love,
    Jason
  3. The Daily Incarnate

    Greetings everyone!

I want to start off by introducing myself to those who may not already know me. My name is Jason, or @VillainTech (and Armored Nictus for many of you), and I play just about everyday on the Infinity server.

    What Is It?
A daily nonstop BAF, and Lambda trial runs (It will usually go 2 BAFs, then a Lambda).

    When Is It?
Weekdays at about 4pm PST till about 7pm PST. On weekends, it will generally start and end about the same time. (All these times can change however, and some days I will not be able to run some Trials. However, if I will not be able to run, or the time frame for the day changes, I will follow up with an update to this post below).

    Where Is It?
Rikti War Zone, in front of Lady Grey.

    Additional Info:
I will also be on our GSC server for those would prefer to voice chat during the trials. If you don't have GSC, all you have to do go to www.getgsc.com, download the program, and join our server. Don't forget, it's also a free program, and easy to use. No microphone is required, if you want to join in and listen, that works just as well and is also helpful.

Also, throughout each trial, I give advice to help complete the trial quickly and easily. Please keep in mind, that these binds I throw out, should not be taken as demands, or orders, or anything of that sort. The binds I throw out are merely for your benefit, they are simply guidelines for which to follow by to quickly and easily complete the trial.

So, if you need your daily Empyrean Merits, just want another crack at getting a very rare, or you just want to join in on the fun, just pop on over to Rikti War Zone and look for me standing in front of Lady Grey. I will be playing on Armored Nictus, however, if I happen to be on a different character, please just refer to my signature below.

    See you guys in game!

    Update:
    No Trials for today
  4. Here's an interesting one.

I was doing a 2-person Lady Grey Task Force, and of course, as expected, all the AVs would run from me every time we tried to fight them. But fortunately, was able to get to the very end and fight the last AVs. But, of course, Hro'dtohz, the "Lord of War" (who flees like a "Pansy of War"), ran like I've never seen, which makes me believe he has ADHD and I'm just not mentaly stimulating enough to keep his focus on attacking me. After killing Hro'dtohz, it was then on to Honoree, all goes well. However, what struck me as interesting, is that he didn't run at all. Everytime, AVs/GMs/Normal Mobs will tend to run if they can't hit their target. However, Honoree insisted on fighting me (finally an AV that will), he was unable to hit me very much at all, was getting his rear handed to him pretty well. So it just strikes me as odd as he's the only AV, or enemy in general, that won't run from you just because they can't hit you, or just for no reason at all.

Though, I don't know if this information is helpful in anyway, just thought I'd share it with you guys to see what you think. Different AI perhaps? He just didn't feel like it?

    Hi there.

The command to target a specific target is:
    /target_custom_near NameOfTarget
    Then you can use:
    /powexec_name NameOfPower

If you want to use it together in a bind, then you need to do:
    /bind key "Powexec_name NameOfPower$$ Target_custom_near NameOfTarget"
  7. Yeah, it does seem some pets are better at surviving the trials then others.

I personally play nothing but Robotics. I've noticed on my Robotics/Dark I don't have any trouble at all during BAF. I do however, have only a little bit of trouble during Lambda, at of course, the splitting part.

It does seem that if you're a Mastermind, it's better to be on the Acids team, seems to work out much better for them. But even during that phase, I just spike each container and move to the next, it's really the best thing you can do. During that phase it's definitely good to have barrier, will keep you and your pets alive during those spikes.

The only thing I can suggest for Lambda if you're a Mastermind, is to be on the Acids team. Also, if you don't have any of your Incarnate abilities, I would recommend doing BAF until you get your first 2 abilities (Judgement and Lore), they don't need to be Very Rares, but just having them will definitely help.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I'm afraid there isn't a way to give your pet an inspiration via slot.

However, you can do it by name of inspiration.

    For example: /inspexec_pet_target Enrage
Would give your currently targeted pet an Enrage inspiration.

You can also give it by name as well: /inspexec_pet_name Enrage NameOfPet
  9. No worries guys. Your incarnate abilities will indeed affect your pets.

Make sure in your pet window that the arrow is clicked to show their buffs, and make sure that their Auto Powers are not hidden. If your pets are locked, I don't believe it will show up, if so, just use /releasepets and resummon them.

However, even if you can't see the abilities on there, as long as you have them equipped, they will affect your pets
  10. Aah yes, this happens to me all the time.

For me though, it's a huge problem when you're soloing Arch-Enemies(Arch-Villains/Heroes) and Giant Monsters.

Now, I can understand if a mob flees for, say like health reasons, they're low health, close to dying, or even simply moving away from a fire patch. Hell, I'd program them to do the same thing.

However, something as powerful as an Arch-Enemy and (especially) Giant Monsters, should have no reason to run in fear. Take for example, Jurassik, there should be no reason it would fear me, Jurassik is something that is so monstrous, so terrifying, it would have no concept of death, and especially, fear. So when it runs just because I stand near it, then there's a serious problem.

Also, many basic types of enemies will run as well, and not for health reasons which is also a serious problem.

Some people may even argue: "Tactical Retreat" However, there's nothing even remotely tactical about them running away like that. They don't even attack.

I hope one day the Development Team at least considers looking into this problem (and I do say "problem" with good merit), or at least giving us some sort of feedback.
  11. Sweet, I'll definitely be there to get me some badges. Thanks for hosting this Nova.
