We are talking, having verbal intercourse as it were, and yet word builds to word, word builds to sentence, sentence build to paragraph, and yet none of this builds to meaning. Quite right, quite right, we must move from mere verbal to display to a display of intellect. The use of rhetoric not for mere exercise, but towards the proof or disproof of a given thesis.
