1> The traps vs Outraged was awfully damn funny.
2> We got shut out versus PE. Course, they got shut out versus us as well. (we went 0-0, but holy crap was that a fun match)
3> I'm available as well for build help. I do some moderately strange things, but they work. Go figure.
I'll be there again this Friday, presumably with Tam and Rage in tow. If things look like they did this week, I'll get out something other than my pain dom. That toon was originally made for 2v2, and was recently rebuilt to fix a few things that didn't work so well once i14 came out.
Cath, you really do get props for being the only team besides PE who was willing to take a turn with us. We showed up for 3v3 with well tested toons and a good amount of experience between us in current pvp. No one else even gave it a shot (besides PE), so that says a lot for ya.
The real rub about i13's "make pvp more accessible for everyone" is that it is true to some degree. SO'd toons can be competitive...but when you get right down to it, a 1k hp toon isn't going to do as well as a 1.5-1.6k hp toon. Single target is going to do better than aoe, and certain powersets (dark blast) get hosted on damage. In the end, all they really did was change the rules without doing much to change the game. Some changes are good, such as no more mez-locking to death.
I'm sure i15 is going to distract me for a couple days, but I'm still available most of the time if anyone wants to stomp me in the arena and compare some notes. I have the fortune of not being a 13 year old who's going to scream "omg pwnd u suk." I'm in it for the challenge and fun. Unless a player is a complete jerk, I'm not sitting there at my keyboard laughing when I get a kill. I really would like to see more people picking up PvP. I'm happy to do what I can to help make it a fun experience for those who want to have fun with it.
