  1. Hey Hedon, great guide I have used your core concepts for my MC, lvl 30 now, and loving it. I think you give the forums a lot of tough love that is needed so kudos to you!
Anyways, as I'm still learning the fine art of TK which is so amazing and so sad not enough people are diligent enough to learn it's intricacies (like you said MC set learning curve requires a patience that is in direct opposition to how CoH teaches you to play), but I'm having some real difficulty when I start TK it activates right away, however, I'm not able to move and start sweeping or adjusting the movement of my anchor until the animation finishes. This gives about 1 or 2 seconds of uncontrolled drift that I often end up with just 2 or 3 in a clump. This is mostly when I'm trying a TK without the mobs setup nicely. If they are in a good line or clump it's much easier but when I try to throw it on during a good fight I lose them easily with that movement delay. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for the great guide and keep it real.

  2. Dang it! Why the heck did I think to upgrade to Windows XP last week without adding RAM first? Np for all you newer machine running folks but I got a bus speed of 100 and 384 megs RAM ain't cuttin' it. Literally in a group of 4 or more my FPS drops to 0.5-0.9 so solo is all I got till next month when I can double my RAM. (sigh) CoH.....she loves AND hates, no?
  3. Excellent post for sure, just want to highlight a few ideas as well:

    1) You hit it right on the head about being patient with some close calls/deaths right off the bat, I have been in MANY teams since mid-beta and have had that happen many times to move on and find the group do so awesome at the end of the night everyone is saying "Sweet job! What a great group!" forgetting that we looked pretty sad the first couple tries. So be patient and be brave! We're heroes remember!

    2) I like to lead a lot just because I'm an impatient person in RL and found that many ppl also just want to get some good 'ol exp and action and not always terribly interested in hearing about how someone's day went. So I find that if I'm not sure who's mission is best to do next, if I can JUST KEEP THE GROUP MOVING, we do much better as a whole. So just keep everyone focused and most will be happy.

    Anyway, have fun!
